Ted Sterner was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to Ted P. Siok and Betty J. Siok. Ted's first taste of acting was in high school while working at the Paramount Theater in Springfield, MA, as a stage hand and all around theater employee, under Roger Stevens, who came in from Broadway to manage the theater. After a brief two years in the Marine Corps Ted managed to start a career in electronics. Upon getting his daughter an internship with G&G Media in Foster, RI Ted was asked to fulfill a vacancy for a short film as the Production Sound Recordist. Seeing the action on the set rekindled a love for acting and Ted began taking basic acting classes in Boston under Mr. Bates Wilder, a well known acting teacher with C.P. Casting. Ted enjoys the Coaching of Atlanta based actor Rodney Rowland, the company of a relatively small number of professional people in the area's studios and his supportive network of friends.
