Weekend with Ramesh


            A young girl who is unable to sleep asks her father to tell her a bedtime story. Although reluctant at first, he tells her a story of a fly named Nani.Nani is a young man who specializes in preparing fireworks. He is in love with his neighbor Bindu, a micro artist who runs Project 511, a non-governmental organization (NGO). Bindu also develops feelings for Nani though she does not express them. Seeking to raise money for her NGO, Bindu visits the office of a rich, powerful industrialist named Sudeep, who also finds her attractive. He befriends her, donates 1.5 million rupees (US$23.03 thousand), and gains her trust. Sudeep sees Nani as a rival and plans to kill him. One night, Nani helps Bindu to finish a piece of micro art-a locket made from a pencil. While returning home, he is kidnapped by Sudeep, who kills him, making his death look like an accident. Unaware of the incident, Bindu proposes to the dying Nani by telephone; it is the last thing Nani hears before he is reincarnated as a housefly that cannot remember its previous life.The fly's memory is triggered when it encounters Sudeep and Bindu. Sudeep asks the heartbroken Bindu to accompany him to New Delhi to meet the education minister; if she can impress the minister with a presentation about the NGO, he might help it gain national recognition. The fly causes Sudeep to have an accident on his way to the airport and writes "I will kill you" on the windshield; this makes Sudeep paranoid. The fly, who sees Bindu mourning Nani's death in her bedroom, reveals itself to be Nani by writing on the desk with her tears. It conveys the circumstances of Nani's death to Bindu, and they join forces against Sudeep. The latter's obsession with the fly affects his professional and personal life. In a chain of events, his money is burnt to ashes, leaving him almost penniless.Sudeep learns from a sorcerer that Nani is reincarnated as a fly and seeks revenge. Sudeep arranges to kill Nani but the fly escapes and causes a short circuit, killing the sorcerer and leaving Sudeep unconscious. Nani and Bindu assume Sudeep is dead but he is saved by his business partner. Sudeep is enraged when he learns that Bindu is helping the fly. Sudeep kills his partner to collect 7 billion rupees (US$107.49 million) insurance policy.Sudeep takes Bindu to his home and Nani follows them. Nani seriously injures Sudeep with a needle. The latter clips Nani's wing and fatally stabs him with the same needle. Nani jumps through the flame of a burning match then into a loaded cannon, which fires. The projectile passes through Sudeep and hits an oxygen cylinder, which explodes and kills him. Bindu takes the fly's wing and makes an amulet with it. One day when travelling to work, an eve teaser bothers her; Nani, again reborn as a fly, attacks him with a needle before announcing his return.The young girl is impressed with the story of the fly her father narrates.

            Kotigobba 2 is about one person donning the dual shades of good and bad . Satya (Sudeep) is a mild-natured, small-time youngster running a real estate agency, led by thumb by authoritative Shubha (Nithya Menon). Satya leads another life as Shiva (Sudeep), a burglar who loots the huge unaccounted money stocked by filthy rich businessmen. His purpose is to realise his fathers dream of becoming a billionaire, riding a Mercedes Benz car and leading a posh life. He manages to convince the cops and those around him that those crimes are the handiwork of his look-alike ruffian twin Shiva. However, the two businessmen (Mukesh Tiwari and Sharath Lohitashwa) he robbed from, and Kishor (P. Ravi Shankar), a corrupt cop who tries to use this as an opportunity to make money, are keen on nailing him. Meanwhile, Satya falls in love with Subha (Nithya Menon) who is a upright and brave girl. The police needs to nab the burglar. Sathya himself launches a complaint that it is his brother Shiva who does all the crimes. A corrupt Police ACP Kishore (P. Ravi Shankar) does not believe the existence of two people and suspects the hero and villain to be one, but he does not have the evidence to prove his claim. At the end Sudeep proves that he is Kotigobba

The Villain


            Marudheeran (Vijay) is the adopted son of a tribal village chief Vembunathan (Prabhu). From a young age, he notices the atrocities regularly committed on the villagers by a group of people from the neighbouring kingdom of Vedalapuram called the Vedhalams, who have supernatural powers. When he becomes an adult, he starts to protect the villagers from the Vedhalams, because of which he is well respected by the villagers.Marudheeran falls in love with his childhood sweetheart Pavazhamalli (Shruti Haasan) and both soon decide to marry. One day, Pavazhamalli is kidnapped by a group of Vedhalams, who then ransack the village and also kill Vembunathan. Marudheeran, along with his close friends Kodangi (Thambi Ramaiah) and Sama (Sathyan), begin a journey to Vedhalapuram to rescue Pavazhamalli. In the first part of the journey, he and his friends enter a part of a forest where invisible people are rumoured to live. It is actually tiny people who lived there and used arrows to drug Marudheeran and capture Sama and Kodangi. After waking up, the king Newton, decides that the must die by the sting of a poisonous spider. His daughter, Kamalakshmi, tells her father to stop, as his eyes don't say that he is a Vedhalam. After ridding him of his gag, he tells them how Vedhalams took his wife and he journeys to get her and their village's freedom back. They are overjoyed to help, since the Vedhalams eat them like side dishes. Newton introduces his cheifs, Alpha and Beta, and his wife and daughter, Flemming and Kamalakshmi. The trio tell them that they are looking for an old wise person whom the Tiny King says is a good friend of his. Alpha and Beta are assigned to take them to the old wise person and Kama asks to go and he permits her. It is revealed that the old wise person was actually an old wise turtle. The turtle tells them a bunch of senseless sentences and goes back into his humongous shell. When Kodangi insults him, he spits on him and they continue. They come to a huge gap in the valley in front of them. Following a sentence from the Turtle, he rolls a big rock with a scorpion painted on it into a big hole. A bridge connected to the other side and they went to that side. They come to a pond and don't know what to do, so Alpha suggests that they check holy texts, which he has brought, when they find a different kind of leaf. It said they have to make a tube and blow from it and a green frog will show the way. Marudheeran blew and a frog came along. They checked it again and it said you will have to lick it's back. Kodangi was voted for it. He licked it and it showed the way to Vedhalapuram. When Marudheeran goes to retrieve his sword,he hears a girl's scream. Marudheeran rescues Manthagini (Hansika Motwani), the princess of Vedhalapuram, from a panther. This is noticed by Jalatharangan (Sudeep), the Commander-in-Chief of Vedhalapuram. Marudheeran seems to recognize his name "Thalapathi" as the man who cut his adopted father's arm. On the pretext of being medicine makers, Marudheeran, Kodangi, Sama, Alpha, Beta and Kama enter the Vedhalapuram palace, where they meet Queen Yavanarani (Sridevi), the cruel queen of Vedhalapuram who is also a sorceress. She allows them to stay at the palace and soon Marudheeran wins the support of the Queen and the love of Manthagini with his fighting prowess and resilience. Yavanarani announces the engagement of Marudheeran with Manthagini.Later, Marudheeran finds out that he himself is a Vedhalam. Marudheeran was the son of Pulivendhan (Vijay), the prince of Vedhalapuram and Queen Yavanarani's brother. When he stood up to Jalatharangan, who used to terrorise the villagers with the help of his men, Jalatharangan killed him and his wife Pushpa (Nanditha). Marudheeran also finds out that Yavanarani is actually a puppet Queen under the influence of evil magical power emanating from Jalatharangan's ring. Due to the evil magical influence, Yavanarani developed magical powers as well as her tyrannical behaviour. She performs yearly Kanya Puja to boost her magical powers. After Yavanarani performs the Kanya Puja for the eighteenth consecutive year (this time on Pavazhamalli), Jalatharangan has planned to eliminate her and take over the throne.Marudheeran fights Jalatharangan and kills him. But before he dies, Jalatharangan opens his ring, releasing all the evil magical power so that Yavanarani could continue to rule Vedhalapuram as a tyrantess without his control after his death. Marudheeran realises that the Queen can be returned to normal only if her staff, which is the source of her magical power, is destroyed. He and Manthagini find her performing the Kanya Puja on Pavazhamalli. After a bitter sword fight with the Queen, he manages to destroy the staff, thus restoring the Queen to her normal self. The Queen insists on dying for her actions, but Marudheeran saves her. In gratitude for releasing her from the evil magical influence, Yavanarani makes Marudheeran heir to the throne of Vedhalapuram. In a credits scene, Sama is shown to be miniaturized and married to Kama.

            The film begins with a goon named Guddu and his henchmen robbing people at a marriage. Before they can flee with the stolen goods, Chulbul Pandey attacks them and soon reforms Guddu. Chulbul is now the SP of Tundla and his brother Makhanchand "Makkhi" Pandey has also joined the police force. When a girl rushes to the station for help in order to free some women from traffickers, Makkhi rushes to the spot and challenges the goons, only to find himself surrounded. Chulbul comes to his rescue, bashes all the goons and rescues the goons. Chulbul also arrests the racket head Chinti Valia and other henchmen. Soon, a man arrives at the police station along with a lawyer and orders Chulbul to free the henchmen. Chulbul threatens the goon named Surya, who then proceeds to connect him with the kingpin Bali Singh via video call. Chulbul is shocked, while Bali recognizes him.A flashback unfolds, revealing Chulbul's life before becoming a cop. He was then called Dhaakar and fell for a girl named Khushi who gave him the name Chulbul. However, after attacking a man, Bali saw Khushi rushing for the victim's help and became attracted to her. He intentionally got himself hit in an accident, making Khushi admit both the victim and Bali to hospital. Bali decided to marry her, but learning of Khushi and Chulbul's affair, kidnapped Khushi and her family members. Chulbul tried to rescue them but couldn't stop Bali from killing them. Bali further conspired and got Chulbul arrested for the murder. In prison, Chulbul saved a kind police officer named Satyendra Singh from an attack. Satyendra motivated him to join the police force, following which Chulbul began his training away from his family and upon becoming a cop, battled and threw Bali down a cliff. Having revealed everything to his wife Rajjo, who happened to be Khushi's friend, Chulbul is shocked to find Bali alive. Rajjo makes him promise not to get violent, to which he somehow agrees.On the other hand, Bali tries to brainwash Makkhi into joining him and betraying Chulbul. While Chulbul is on duty, Bali's henchmen try to kill Rajjo and her son but Chulbul comes to their rescue. Later, he finds himself betrayed by Makkhi who is now a part of Bali's gang. Bali assigns a group of cops to arrange for the safe transportation of a truck filled with money. However, Chulbul hijacks it and instead bribes the officers to join forces with him and avoid Bali. Chulbul also kidnaps a minister and forces him to reveal Bali's truth in front of the camera. Bali views the footage, finds the minister at the spot and kills him, only to find himself filmed. With the footage revealing his true nature, Bali now takes Rajjo hostage along with Makkhi who was working undercover in order to learn of Bali's plans. Chulbul fights off Bali's henchmen and kills Bali himself, following which he rescues Makkhi and Rajjo. At the end, Chulbul expresses his desire to now become a politician.
