Since his graduation from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2006, Stefán Hallur has worked with professional international and local representation in theater including the National Theater of Iceland, Reykjavík City Theater, Vesturport, VérMorðingjar, Sokkabandið, Aldrei Óstelandi, LabLoki, ART (USA) and CDN Orléans (FRA) to name but a few.THEATER As a resident at the National Theater of Iceland from 2006 he has portrayed a variety of main cast roles such as Edward in KING LEAR, Lövborg in HEDDA GABLER, Macbeth in MACBETH, Dionysos in THE BACCHAE, Hans in Sofi Oksanen's PURGE, Fjalla- Eyvindur in FJALLA-EYVINDUR and Lúkas in LÚKAS for which he received a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2013 at The Icelandic Theater Awards. He was also nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for THE CRUCIBLE at the National Theater that same year.Stefán Hallur portrayed Jeff Skilling in Reykjavík City Theaters production of ENRON in 2010, and has also starred in various independent productions, both Icelandic and international including Vesturports WOYZECK, Sokkabandiðs HÉR OG NÚ in Finland and Germany and CDN Orléans (FRA) production of JULIUS CAESAR, in collaboration with ART (USA) in France and Colombia in 2012.
