In 2019 he was nominated Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Short Film at the I See You Awards in Detroit for his role as owner of a racially segregated diner in postwar South Carolina in Marcellus Cox's "Rolling in the Deep" (2017). This film has been broadcast on TV for three years on "African American Short Films" and can also be seen on Shorts TV. He is also the recipient of eight ensemble awards for his work in films by both of these filmmakers.A retired lawyer from Texas via Washington, DC, Whitehill has played principal roles in almost 200 films, TV shows, music videos and commercials.
