Known for his versatility and commanding presence laced with comedic turns, 7-time Emmy-winning actor and spokesperson Rich Skidmore flourished as a TV news investigative journalist long before he took to the stage and screen. His 15 years spent digging for details in newsrooms proved to be invaluable training for his career investigating a broad spectrum of acting roles.Richard Morgan Skidmore was born in Pittsburgh. earned his BA in Journalism from The Ohio State University and an Honorable Discharge from the US Marine Corps. While working as the "3 On Your Side" guy for KTVK-3TV in Phoenix by day, Rich launched his acting career, landing the lead role of Paul Bratter in Neil Simon's "Barefoot in the Park", which he rehearsed by night. After starring in three more plays there, "Catch Me if You Can" (as Harry) for which he won a Best Actor award, the melodrama "Love Rides the Rails" (as the hero Truman), and "The Good Doctor" (as The Seducer and Antosha), Rich decided it was time to put down his pen and move to Los Angeles. Not long after arriving, he booked co-star roles on the hit shows The Practice, Criminal Minds and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he's been a recurring principal actor (various characters) and voice-over artist for more than a decade.More recently, Rich shot two lead roles in the same TV pilot, Sweet Toxins (as twins Paul and Don Brinks), strong supporting roles in the Google interactive web series End Game (as spy/handler Pinstripe), and in the pilot Internal Affairs (as the Mayor of LA).
