He grew up in St. Gallen, Switzerland and attended a commercial grammar school, where he acted in 1987 the first time in a leading role as Hercules in the play by Friedrich Dürrenmatt "Herkules und der Stall des Augias". In the following years (2000-2004) he attended two acting classes and acted in various locations with short drama scenes. From 2004 to 2008 he went on tour with "Schauspiel GmbH" with full-length plays in various Swiss cities (50 performances). From 2014 to 2018 he worked in 5 productions as an acting coach and as an actor in full-length plays and musicals. In 2018 Reinhard Fust became known for his leading role as Huldrych Zwingli in the film Zwinglis Erbe (2018).
