Partha Mukherjee is an extremely adorable actor of Bengali silver screen for his 'boy next door look'. Partha Mukherjee was born on 21st September, 1947 . He passed Higher Secondary examination from Chakraberia Higher Secondary School of Kolkata. He completed B.Com from Charuchandra College Although he had joined University of Calcutta for M.Com but couldn't appear for exams due to film offers. Apart from acting skills, he is a good singer and has participated in various cultural programs . He got married to Music Director Ashima Bhattacharya. He has even worked in several serials in the small screen.In 1956 ,director Chitto Basu was looking for a child artist for his film "Maa" and gave Partha his first break. Although Partha got wide recognition with Tapan Sinha's film "Atithi". He even participated in the world famous Venice film Festival for this movie. But unfortunately he missed the Best actor award there by few votes.
