Nina Yong Brown was born in Detroit, Michigan April 22, 1986 to the parents of Theresa Bryson and Edgar Marvin Brown Sr. She was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a kid she was a very quiet who girl grew up with Korean values due to her mother and grandmother being from Seoul, South Korea. Nina was raised a army brat that later moved to Frankfurt, Germany then back to Colorado Springs, Colorado where she attended Panorama Middle School and Did one year at Sierra High School before she moved back to Detroit, Michigan where she would meet her now husband and graduate from Cody High School. After Graduation Nina Yong moved to Atlanta, GA with her Husband and their oldest child to start a life together.Nina, though often known as a shy individual always had a deep passion for Art. Whether it was playing musical instruments, painting or drawing. Trying to discover her true passion Nina pursued a career in Culinary Arts where she attended Le Cordon Bleu and graduated in 2010 with an Associates Degree. Soon after she started her career as a professional Chef even winning awards such as 1st Place in a Atlanta "Top Chef" Competition. and "Chef of the Month"for her cuisines, Nina discovered that being a chef wasn't her true calling and walked away from her career in 2013, but not before starting a new one in Acting.Since she has started Acting in 2013, Nina Yong has made a name for herself in the Atlanta Independent Film Industry. She is a "Best Supporting Actress award nominee" who worked her way up from being a extra all the way to lead and Supporting roles in films. She has also worked with Tyler Perry on his hit television show "For better or for Worse" and also with Ernie Hudson and Vanessa Bell in the Film "To Hell and Back". She is also a Writer,Producer and Director as she Co-Directs on her on web-series "Phoenix Rising".Nina Yong lives in Atlanta, Ga with her husband of 12 years(Tristan King Sr) and has three children who are her world( Asianya, Tristan Jr.and Ava).
