Born in New Jersey his love for acting began at an early age in school, writing and performing in high school plays along with television and radio programs. During his college years at Rutgers University Matt began auditioning in New York City and Boston for television, film and theater. After landing a series of lead roles in off-off Broadway theatrical performances and student films for The New York Film Academy, Boston University Film School, NYU and The New York Digital Film Academy, he landed small roles in NBC's 30 Rock and Discovery Channel's Dr. G Medical Examiner.
