Maria Scenna repeatedly continues to push the boundaries of performing art. Her passion for performing spans her entire life, starting at the age of six, where she studied ballet, tap, and jazz with Susan Wright School of Dance for eight years. Shortly thereafter, she learned to play the violin and became active within her school's musical groups, such as choir and acapella.A talented and creative student, she always had a natural affinity for writing, and decided to pursue English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Drama at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. Her curriculum consisted of acting, dance, scriptwriting, world drama, and Shakespeare, leading her to attend a study abroad trip in London where she attended opening night of "Hamlet" at Wyndham's Theatre-played by none other than Jude Law himself, as well as "The Tempest," directed by Sam Mendes with Ethan Hawke and Rebecca Hall.Upon graduation in 2011, Maria steadily began writing for various companies, publications, and clients, as well as had a brief foray publishing music under record label Quark Records. Wanting to perform again, she began attending acting workshops and appearing in numerous music videos, student and independent films, and movies.Originally from Boston, she is located in New York City.
