USALorrie Bacon, Massachusetts born, raised in California. From the central coast city, Santa Maria. Now resides in western Massachusetts. At a very young age Lorrie knew she would be an actress. She always felt that she belonged performing on stage and be on the big screen. From her first play, she instantly fell in love with the excitement, energy and the elation it bestowed on her. This was just the beginning. At 16, her family made a move up north to a very small artsy coastal California town which offered a lot of theatre opportunities. She began auditioning for plays in high school and getting cast in musicals, comedies and her first drama, "The Grapes of Wrath" playing Rose of Sharon. After graduating, she continued her education at a community college focusing on theatre education. After two semesters, she decided not to return and pursue acting at the many local theaters in the area. She began auditioning and landing roles she only dreamed about while building a great resume. She joined an improvisation group called R.A.T.S. (Redwood Area Theatre Sports). A short time later, she started working with a local theatre company that solely performed new work plays, called World Premier Theatre/Plays in Progress also known as PIP. The schedule of rehearsals and scene study was extensive. She collaborated with the playwright, director and the cast. She received re-writes of the script nearly every day. This experience is where Lorrie learned the most about her craft, her limits and when to step outside boundaries and really honed her skills. Her experiences molded her into a dedicated, serious, hardworking, passionate actress. Presently, Lorrie continues to perform in theatre and film, working with independent filmmakers, Angelwood Pictures, Counterfeit Cow Productions, Macremi Productions, Merritt Films, Mad Chaos Productions and 3 View Films. She's known for feature films, shorts, web series appearing on YouTube, local commercials, radio spots, corporate voice over and music videos. Acting and performing is not something Lorrie just wants to do, it's something she needs to do! Acting and performance flows through her veins. Practicing her art makes her heart beat. She likes to explain it like this: "When acting, I want to tell a story, a story that takes you away from your world and brings you into another. I want to make you think and feel, and laugh and cry. If I can do that through my art, I have done my job as an actor." Lorrie is always looking for new acting opportunities and experiences, taking all opportunities to learn and grow as an actress. She's versatile and unique with a kind spirit who is unstoppable. Lorrie is an actress you'll want to work with over and over again.
