
            Ranch owner Harvey Sullivan is holding two genetically cloned prehistoric terror birds on his Texas farm. Birdwatcher Keith Stern wanders onto his property one day, resulting in Sullivan having him get eaten by the birds. When he's reported as missing, Keith's daughter Maddy, and her friends Paige, Justin, Taylor, and Brett decide to explore the woods to find him. Unbeknownst to them, Taylor's ex-boyfriend Trent, jealous of her dating Justin, follows them. Using various objects left by Keith as clues, the group follows his path, eventually reaching the compound, although two of Sullivan's guards Dale, and Russell tranquilize them along with Trent.The group is dropped off in the woods, where they are chased by the terror birds; Trent, and Paige are killed as the others climb into a tree. Dale, and Russell arrive in a cart to capture them again, although the terror birds arrive, and kill Russell. The others escape in the cart, finding a series of keys they use to get onto Sullivan's property. They reach Sullivan's house, followed by Dale, although are once again attacked by the terror birds, resulting in Brett, and Dale's deaths. Maddy, Justin, and Taylor get inside Sullivan's house, although he holds them at gunpoint. Maddy, knowing the terror birds are right outside, lets them inside, allowing them to kill Sullivan.Maddy, and Justin hide inside the house as Taylor attempts to make a run for it; she hides behind a tree to hide from one of the birds, although a crocodile comes out of nearby swamp, and eats her. A man dropping off a group of dogs to be fed to the birds is also eaten. Maddy, and Justin decide to kill the birds before recovering Sullivan's gun from his body, and shooting one of the birds dead. The other bird attacks them, and another guard is killed, although Maddy, and Justin escape to the man's truck, where they find several sticks of dynamite in the back. They lure then lure the final terror bird into the truck before blowing it up with a stick of dynamite, killing it. Maddy, and Justin recover its burnt foot, believing the threat to be over, although, unbeknownst to them, somewhere else on the property lie two more eggs, one of which hatches.
