
            In 1985, awkward and shy 16-year-old high-schooler Ted Stroehmann (Ben Stiller) lands a prom date with his dream girl Mary Jensen (Cameron Diaz), only to have it cut short by a painful and embarrassing zipper accident. After the ordeal garners the attention of numerous members of the household and community, Ted is finally carted off to the hospital. He subsequently loses touch with Mary.Thirteen years later, Ted is still in love maybe even obsessed with Mary. On the advice of his best friend Dom, he hires private detective Pat Healy to track her down. Healy finds that she is an orthopedic surgeon living in Miami with her friend, Magda, but Healy falls in love with the irresistible Mary as well. Healy resorts to lying, cheating, stalking, and drugging Magda's dog to win Mary but is exposed by Mary's architect friend, Tucker, who is heavily reliant on crutches and speaks with an English accent. Tucker, however, turns out to be a fraud himself, as he is an able-bodied and entirely American pizza delivery boy who is also in love with Mary. Using slander Tucker drives away potential rivals, among them Brett Favre (the football star, playing himself).Ted, aided by Dom, drives down to Florida to reconnect with Mary. Ted seems to have won Mary's love, until an anonymous letter exposes his being less than honest about his link to Healy. While Ted confronts Healy and Tucker, Mary is confronted by Dom, who turns out to be her former boyfriend Woogie, who "got weird on her" back in high school, setting up the original prom scenario. Having found out that Tucker also lied about Mary's former love interest, football player Brett Favre, Ted decides that Mary should be with Brett (who was the only one of the suitors who did not resort to deceit to win Mary). After reuniting Brett and Mary, Ted leaves tearfully. But Mary chases after Ted, saying that she would be happiest with him.The film concludes with the two engaging in a kiss while a guitarist (Jonathan Richman), who periodically narrated the story in song as a Greek chorus throughout the film, is accidentally shot by Magda's boyfriend who was trying to shoot Ted so he could win over Mary.

Funny Bones


            Rudolph Smuntz (the father of Ernie and Lars Smuntz) has died, leaving behind a famous albeit run-down string factory and an equally run-down old house, both to his two sons. Ernie Smuntz owns a famous restaurant and sees no point in running the string factory, but Lars, who has no job, thinks it would be a great opportunity to continue running "Smuntz String" for their father's sake. When Ernie accidentally kills the mayor in his restaurant, he is left with nothing and is forced to close down. With Ernie's restaurant and "Smuntz String" not doing so well, they decide to check out the house they were left. After finding some ancient plans for the house in the attic, they discover that the house is historically significant and very valuable. The brothers then decide to have the house restored in order to sell it -- but someone's out there to stop them: a mouse! And this is no ordinary mouse. It does everything to stop the renovation of the house and scare the Smuntz brothers away. The brothers fight back against the mouse, and when they think they have got rid of it they plan an auction at the house to sell it -- but the mouse returns and causes all sorts of havoc. In the end, the ancient house collapses, leaving Lars and Ernie with nothing, again. Lars and Ernie return to the factory, thinking they have got rid of the the mouse, but they were wrong. The mouse returns to the factory with them and takes over the factory controls, creating a revolutionary idea which makes the brother rich.
    

Mousehunt


            Sean Veil (Lee Evans) was accused of the murder of Susan Jasper (Andrea Grimason) and her two twin daughters, Moira and Maggie (Gabriella Henriette and Emily Anthony). The jury is dismissed because of the lack of proof, but forensics specialist Saul Seger (Ian McNeice) and Detective Louis Emeric (Sean McGinley) still think Sean's guilty.Ten years later, Sean is a paranoid man who lives imprisoned in his own home, a high-security bunker where he's constantly recorded by cameras. When he goes out of home, he carries a "self-camera", which consists of a camera held by a kind of strange harness attached to his own body with leathery straps.Sean goes to jail for the presentation of Saul's book. There, Katie Carter (Rachael Stirling), a ruthless journalist, blames Saul because he offers no new vision of the murder. Sean shouts that Saul has destroyed his life and makes such a racket that he's forced to leave. Outside, Katie convinces him of reviewing the reconstruction of the murder. She's interested in Sean's opinion. She insists and eventually Sean lets her in his home. At that moment, the police come in, accusing Sean of the murder of Mary Shaw (Rachel O'Riordan), a prostitute killed five years ago, whose corpse has just been found out. Detective Mountjoy (Colin Salmon) and the presently very-sick Emeric interrogate Veil.Veil offers to show them the tapes of the presumed date of Mary Shaw's killing, but they are not there. Veil runs away in panic. Later, he will go to Seger's, demanding the truth. Seger knew all the time that Veil was innocent, but he didn't say so because the case made him famous and rich. Seger rings the police alarm, and Veil runs away.On the police station, Veil shows tapes for the time of Mary's killings, but the police officers show them others: Veil said to Kathy Burton (Rachel O'Riordan as well), a woman who makes a pass at him at the cafeteria, that his name was Tom Prophet. The woman was filming him without his knowledge. They go to Veil's to have sex, but he blindfolds her. She looks, and freaks out when she sees Veil's terrifying home. She runs away, as it is shown by one of Veil's tapes. The police officers show Veil the corpse of Saul, blaming him as well. Veil doesn't confess. At that moment, the police have to let Veil go: he had hired a man (Andrew Wilson) to film him every time that he left his safe home, and his tapes and testimony put Veil at other place at Kathy-Mary's fatal hour.Katie helps Veil. She takes him to his home, where Serger is alive but tied down. It was all a trick so that Veil would confess. It starts to look like as though Sean coud not distinguish reality from his paranoic dreams.However, the journalist also has her own plans. She tells him that she was the daughter of the real murderer of Susan Jasper, her father Sam Jasper (Martin McSharry), who had committed the murder out of jealousy. Katie took her mother's single name. She won't be able to put up with being discriminated against if people know she's the daughter of such an infamous murdered. She says that Mary Shaw's murder was an accident, because of Katie's anger becase Mary couldn't produce a sample of Veil's semen to frame him of Katie's rape. Katie kills Seger. She is filming everything.Katie tries to make love to Sean to get that semen sample. However, Sean is unresponsive. There is a fight which we see through the recordings. Fade to black, and we see Sean, alone and desperately crying holding Seger's gun - the one which had killed Susan Jasper and her children. The police arrives.Sean shows him a computer webcam's film in which we see that Katie kills Seger, tries to obtain Sean's semen and then commits suicide. Mountjoy asks Sean what could happen to his alibi if the digital recording gets lost somehow (implying that he's going to lose it on purpose). Sean tells him that he's just e-mailed a copy of the recording to some journalist, so there is no way he can be framed.Veil is declared innocent in all accounts, altough he must give his testimony. However, he can't live in a relaxed way, as he keeps recording himself 24-hours a day to keep himself in a safe way.
    

Freeze Frame


            Jackie Chan stars in this kung fu action comedy as Eddie Yang, a Hong Kong detective who is transformed into an immortal warrior with amazing speed and strength by an ancient medallion that hangs around the neck of a little boy, Jai (Alex Bao), who is the chosen one. The medallion is in two pieces and is brought together every 1,000 years by the chosen one. For anyone to receive the superhuman powers and immortality, an individual must die and be brought back to life by the touch of the medallion while in the hands of the chosen one. Eddie is working with Interpol to catch an international criminal, Snakehead (Julian Sands) who has been spotted at a temple in Hong Kong. Eddie must choose between saving the little boy from a fire in the temple or capturing Snakehead, of course, Snakehead escapes and flees the country. Since Eddie is the only one who saw his face, he must go to Ireland to help Interpol track him down. In Ireland, Eddie is reunited with his old flame Nicole James (Claire Forlani), who is very upset with Eddie for not calling her for months. While working on this case, Eddie and the little boy are locked in a shipping container, which is pushed overboard into the harbor. Eddie dies by drowning, but he was able to save the little boy who brings him back to life with all the powers of the medallion. You think Jackie Chan's martial arts are incredible at regular speed; he is fantastic with these new powers. Snakehead has discovered the powers of the medallion and has kidnapped the little boy to get the powers for himself. Eddie and Snakehead meet for a final battle to determine who will control the power and the fate of the world. Douglas Young (the-movie-guy)
