LaShawn VanHook is the Founder/CEO of Dark Anjewel Productions and Co-Founder of Sankofa Players youth theatre at the African American Museum in Dallas. I am a Producer, Actress, Assistant director and script supervisor. I have been the leading lady in film as well as stage productions throughout the DFW.Most recently Producer and Assistant Director in Los Angeles, CA with One Shot Films for two feature films "A Familiar Lie" and "Blunt News" both to release 2020. Also the Assistant Director and Leading lady in the feature film "Blind Confessions" a M2GG film as well as "Ripples" short film which was recently selected in the Denton Black Film Festival 2019. I also love the stage. My goal is to leave a legacy and be a well known household name as a producer, actress, director and screenwriter.
