
            A documentary producer, David Stevens is a thoughtful professional, currently making a film about the "Victims Of The Recession." Convinced that the Malone family is a good subject because of the familys financial loss and the story of the orphaned teenage boy they've recently adopted, David follows them throughout the move exploring the intra-familial tension, as well as their awkward integration into a somewhat hostile new neighborhood. Inclined to be a quietly murmuring questioner, David does his best not to take center stage, to keep his focus on the Malones and their rapid descent down the ladder of socio-economic status. However, for Sarah Malone the move means more than the economic crisis her family encounters. A Christian belle, Sarah is a decent woman caught at a moment of not only financial, but also personal and familial crisis. Married to the well-off Jack Malone, Sarah faces an unknown future because her husband has disappeared and  her bank account is empty. Forced to make decisions alone for the first time, Sarah agrees to allow the documentary camera crew to follow her through her downward-spiraling move to the new home. Sarah has other stresses lobbed her way during the course of the move such as dealing with her adopted sons determination to find his parents killer. Christophers an uneasy member of the Malone family, and is reunited with his old friends when the family moves to Christopher's at-risk, old neighborhood. Intent on learning more about his parents' murder, Christopher acts as a teenage detective, and unmasks not only the shooter but the man who hired him. The events set in motion by the greed and selfish acts of one person lead to the explosive ending that changes the course of the lives of these unsuspecting characters forever.
