Karm-Syndia, daughter of Jodly Delia, was born in Haiti where she lived until the age of 16. At 17 years old, she moved to Boston MA, where she graduated from Media Communication & Technology High School. a few years later, she had earned her BA in Communication at Pine Manor College and her Master of Liberal Arts from Harvard Extension School while starting her own business KS Dance Studio, KS Entertainment and a fashion brand KatieJodly, with her mother.Growing up in an artistic family and following her mother and grandmother's talent in the arts, Karm-Syndia focused on the performing arts (dance, theater, small screen). While in High Scholl, she got her first opportunity working with a Haitian local TV station Tele Diaspora. Later on she continued her training working for WGBH, WCVB, All3Media( soon enough she would make her way to independent films. She obtained her first role in Patrick Jerome's feature film Open Vacancy (2012) while still in college. That role opened up producing opportunities which would steer her towards directing. Karm-Syndia collaborated with Patrick Jerome on several projects; short films and feature films. She was also the lead actress in Patrick Jerome's Impression (2017). Karm also produced and directed short films: Her Magic (2016), Steps to Your Heart (2019) which she won the won the One- Reeler Award for the latter.
