
            In 2008, director Jarreth Merz returns to his boyhood home of Ghana to find himself. That all changes when he discovers a country churning with political, social and economic turmoil. Ghana is on the cusp of its presidential election and Merz pulls us with him into the political machine. Following key candidates for three months, he provides an insider's view into the lives of the Ghanaian people and the larger-than-life politicians who will do anything to win. The film beautifully captures the enduring pride of the Ghanaian people, and presents a window into the range of challenges they face.             Shortly after a broken marriage ends mother, a history lecturer and her daughter move to a new abode. Part of what moves in with them in an art deco period wardrobe. The ex-husband / father is introduced via a Skype like conversation and this serves as an tool of exposition telling us the circumstances, if not the reason for the breakup. The ex comes off as being something of a selfish schmuck who also cares about his daughter.The girl's tooth comes out and the out of the ordinary happenings begin. The tooth vsnishes from under the pillow. The next day the girl is buying teeth from kids at school with obsolete coinage. The girl says that all this is at the behest of the tooth fairy.A lot more happens but I am out of time. Will finish later or someone may pick up from here.
