Ian Michael Shultis was born to Janice and Karl Shultis. At an early age, his family described him as a performer. During a little league game his grandfather, Robert Davis, jokingly questioned, "Is Ian playing catcher right now, or just performing the duties as if he were on television in the major leagues?". Its not often you see an eight year old call time out to jog out to the mound in order to "calm the nerves" of his fellow little league pitcher. His family realized rather quickly, Ian was no ordinary kid. He was quirky and often shocked his parents and other family with his bizarre thoughts and comments around the dinner table. He loved sports, but as his father states "...maybe not as much as he loved the attention of performing successfully in front of a crowd". Ian went on to lead an athletics based life throughout high school and college. He started at Quarterback for the Thousand Oaks High School Varsity team for 2 years, where he also served as a lead actor in the bi-monthly television special "TO-Today". Shultis hosted his school's Talent Show and claims this was when he first fell in love with the stage. His artistic side began to emerge and be recognized by his teachers and peers. However, athletics would still take precedence in his life as he went on to break several records as quarterback of Moorpark Community College. Receiving an athletic scholarship, Shultis attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After three years he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and a minor degree in Education. Still searching for something in sports, Ian accepted an offer to play football professionally in Germany for the Furstenfeldbruck Razorbacks. Upon return from Germany, Shultis began auditioning for acting roles. After some time he landed a job with 48 Hour Stage Show. From then, he received a role on "Save Me from Love" and just recently got his first lead role, starring as Artimus Pyle in "Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash". - IMDb Mini Biography By: Author
