            After bringing back some relics from the desert a young scientist and his friends defend the city from a re-animated snake like creature that turns people to stone at a glance.
    

Basilisk: The Serpent King


            A group of fishermen in the small fishing town of Smallport kill a great white shark, only for it to immediately resurrect as a ghost inside a cave on the shoreline, and kill them. The next day, a group of friends consisting of one of the fishermen's daughters Ava Reid, her younger sister Cecily, and their friends Blaise Davis, Taylor, Cameron Stahl, and Mick, go swimming down by the sea. Ava, and Cecily see their father's abandoned boat, and swim to it, only to find a video camera, and their father's bloodied hat. After the group witnesses Taylor being eaten by the ghost shark, the beach is closed off, although the town sheriff Gary Martin refuses to believe the group that the shark was translucent. A lighthouse keeper named Darnell Finch intervenes, and tells the sheriff ghosts in the town, catching the attention of Ava, Blaise, Cecily, Cameron, and Mick. Cameron attempts to convince his father Frank, the mayor of the town, of the shark, although he refuses to believe him as well.The next day, Ava, Blaise, Cecily, Cameron, Mick, and Martin review the footage on the camera at the police station, where they discover that they had killed a shark. The teens theorize that the shark became a ghost, although Martin refuses to believe so. Ava, and Cecily attempt to enlist Finch's help, although to no avail. That night, Blaise, Cameron, and Mick go to a pool party. While Blaise leaves to check on Ava, and Cecily, Cameron, and Mick stay only to encounter the ghost shark again, and it kills two people, the second of which being Mick. After the ghost shark kills several more people in various forms of water, including pipes, buckets of water, and water slides, Ava, Blaise, and Cameron enter the lighthouse in order to find Finch, and he tells them of the cave, saying that it is connected to the ghost shark, although he falls asleep as a result of his drinking before he can reveal any more information.At Ava's house, Cecily takes a bath, only to be attacked by the shark, although the others arrive at the house in time to save her. Ava, Blaise, Cecily, and Cameron then read an article that says that Finch's wife Alison drowned in the cave during a high tide, leading to the possibility that she possessed the shark. They also realize that the shark can appear in any form of water, and can't manifest in anything outside of water. The group decides to head to a local museum to find more information about the lighthouse incident, only for a police officer to show up. While Cecily distracts him, Ava, Blaise, and Cameron head to the museum.At the museum, while Cameron stays behind for a smoke break, Ava, and Blaise discover from a museum worker that a Roanoke-like disappearance in the colony occurred when it was first colonized. A couple of diary entries from one of the colonists details that after a plague infected a few colonists, they were taken to the cave to be executed, and the cave's spirits killed all of the remaining colonists, with the last entry stating "whoever dies violently in the cave will rise again". The museum worker attempts to give Ava, and Blaise a book that helps ward off evil spirits, only to find that Finch has stolen it.Meanwhile, Cameron's smoking causes the museum's sprinkler system to activate, allowing the ghost shark to manifest. The shark kills the museum worker, and Cameron while Ava, and Blaise escape. Meanwhile, Martin, and Frank witness Frank's assistant being ripped in half from the inside out after he drinks some water. Frank later finds out about Cameron's death, and he, and Martin go out on the sea to kill the shark, although it quickly kills them instead. In the meantime, Ava, Blaise, and Cecily head to the lighthouse; on the way, Blaise, and Cecily crash their car after the ghost shark attacks them, and witness two punk kids being eaten by it.At the lighthouse, Finch is found with the shark's dead body in the cave, and he offers to help the group kill the shark. He says that the only way to kill the shark is by killing it with the weapon that originally killed it, in this case, a harpoon which had stuck to the shark's body. Ava successfully stabs the shark with the harpoon, although it is revealed to still be alive, and bites off one of Finch's fingers. When the group attempts to create another plan, Finch breaks down, refusing to kill the shark, and reveals that he had drunkenly murdered his wife in the cave during a fight.Ava, Blaise, and Cecily steal dynamite from a nearby explosives facility, hoping to blow up the cave with them, with Finch offering to help them after seeing a spiritual manifestation of his wife. They set up the explosives, and prepare to blow up the cave, although it begins to rain, preventing them from doing so. The shark then manifests, and eats Finch. Ava gets the fire in the cave going again, and escapes just as the explosives detonate, causing the ghost shark to finally disappear. Ava, Blaise, and Cecily begin swimming out into the distance as Blaise asks Ava on a date, to which she accepts.
    

Ghost Shark


            Lake Placid 3 is set at the same fictional Black Lakein Aroostook County, Maineas the first two films.The film opens up with a truck labeled "Dimitri's American Market", where the owner is driving and two teenagers are re-kindling their romance in the back. The man says to the driver to stop the truck and leave them to relax down by the lake. The man and woman are seen having sex with each other on shore very close to the water, when something attacks the man and drags him into the water. It is estimated that four baby crocodiles have attacked and killed the man then swarm in and kill the woman as well.Back at the house of Sadie Bickerman, her son, Nathan (Colin Ferguson), his wife, Susan and little boy, Connor, have finished gathering all of Sadie's belongings and decide on whether or not they are going to sell the house. A pet lizard that has escaped from its cage is loose and Connor follows it all the way outside to the lake where the baby crocodiles are. Revering them as his new "pets", Connor secretly begins to feed the baby crocs with products such as beef jerky and frozen meat that Connor has stolen from the supermarket.Meanwhile, Nathan is out searching for a missing elk, only to find its severed head and wondering if it could've been the act of a cougar lady, Reba (Yancy Butler) or something else. Nathan calls for Sheriff Willinger (Michael Ironside) to help track down whatever it was that killed the elk. In a local bar, a teenager, Brett, has come to Reba for some assistance. To find his girlfriend, Ellie, who is somewhere on the lake. Reba agrees to help and brings in her two hunting partners along with her for the search.However, without warning, the crocodiles have been growing bigger and becoming more aggressive. One of the crocodiles attacks Reba's boat, killing one of her hunting partners and the three are stranded in the woods. Another crocodile attacks two high-school teenagers, leaving their two friends left out to fend for themselves. Back at Sadie's house, Connor is found by his mother who notices blood on his shirt and that his babysitters' right arm has been brutally bitten. Connor comes in and tells his family the truth, that he's been coming to Sadie's house with his bike and feeding the crocodiles food, that explains the reason why Connor tried to steal meat from the supermarket because, as he claims, "I couldn't feed them enough."Realizing what they're up against, Nathan suggests they should try to hunt down and kill the crocodiles before anymore people get hurt. Unfortunately, the crocodiles have grown smarter and kill Vica, the babysitter as well as Willinger who was dragged by the crocodile into the lake while sitting in the Bickermans' car. Meanwhile, Reba and her hunting partner, Jonas, are able to shoot and kill one of them, before another crocodile comes in and bites Jonas' head off and attacks Reba. Brett tries to shoot it, but accidentally shoots Reba instead. The two take Reba's boat and head for the Bickermans' house. Brett, who is very anxious to find Ellie, pulls out a shotgun to Nathan and takes his boat to go and find her. Brett succeeds, but not until another crocodile comes in and kills him, leaving Ellie out in the woods, alone.Meanwhile, another crocodile has broken into the house, but Reba is able to cut its head off with her knife. The five (Nathan, Susan, Connor, Ellie and Reba) leave the house and get onto Reba's boat where they head into town. There, they find that yet another crocodile has found them and they decide to take shelter in the supermarket. When the alarm has gone off, the store's manager, Dimitri, comes with his truck and is eaten by the crocodiles. The crocodiles then come into the supermarket to attack. Reba is able to slice one of the crocodiles with her knife but gets killed in the process. One crocodile is killed when a whole shelf of products comes down and falls right on top of it.With just one crocodile remaining, Nathan takes Dimitri's truck to the gas station where it crashes, but Nathan is able to pour gas on the crocodile until it begins to consume the whole gas pump. Connor throws Nathan a lighter, presumably Vica's cigarette lighter, where he tosses it into the crocodiles' mouth and explodes, with the remains of its body scattered all over the place. In the end, an ambulance comes in and helps take care of Ellie, Nathan, Connor and Susan.The next morning, Nathan, speaking in front of a group of tourists, announces that the main river crocodile has gone extinct, and takes them on a tour around the lake. The scene cuts to where we see a baby crocodile swimming as another giant crocodile jumps out of the water and attacks the camera. The film ends from there and the credits roll.

            Earthquakes begin occurring in New Orleans as the result of a fracking operation. Bus driver Charlie is called in replacement for another driver who is out sick, and has to drive a group of cheerleaders. In the meantime, his wife Katelynn, and children Justin, and Annabel go on a bus tour around the city. On the bus, they meet the driver Paul, whose family, consisting of sister Petra, and father Roy, run a boating tour business in the swamps. Among the other guests are couple Ernie, and Tina, and an old man whom Paul nicknames "Gramps". The group has an encounter with several giant albino spiders, and stop at a drug store to grab bug spray. However, more spiders invade the store, killing Gramps, and a clerk, and the group is eventually forced back to the bus. They drive to the marina where Roy, and Petra work, the both of whom are already aware of the situation. After Ernie is abducted by a spider, the survivors flee on Roy's boat, and soon run aground in a nearby forest. Tina is thrown from the boat during the crash, and is dragged away by another spider while the others flee into the woods. Meanwhile, Charlie's bus is attacked by the spiders, and he crashes it into a tree. He, and the cheerleaders manage to stay safe inside as the spiders encase the bus in webbing, although a group of soldiers arrive, and kill the spiders before rescuing the passengers.Paul's group meets up with locals Jean Jacques, Roux, and Guillaume, and they take the group to a warehouse they work at. There, Katelynn, a biologist, suggests they trap a spider so she can examine it. They do so, and Katelynn discovers that the spiders are prehistoric, and were released from the earthquakes. She also explains they are a hive mind, and, if they can find, and kill the queen, they will all die. The warehouse soon comes under attack from the spiders, and the survivors run into the woods; in the ensuing chaos, Roux, Guillaume, and Roy are killed, and Katelynn, and Petra are abducted while Justin, and Jean are evacuated on a helicopter. Paul, and Annabel venture into a nearby cave to find a nest, with Katelynn, and Petra both trapped by webbing. They free them, although the queen spider soon attacks the group; they manage to reach the boat, and launch it back into the water. Meanwhile, Justin, and Jean are taken to a rooftop where Charlie is, and he reunites with his son.On the boat, Katelynn falls unconscious due to an asthma attack, and Paul resolves to kill the queen himself. He gears up in a diving suit, and heads into the city where the queen is on a rampage as Annabel, and Petra find an ambulance to get Katelynn to the hospital. Annabel reunites with Charlie, and Justin on the rooftop as Jean enters the city streets to help Paul. The two are abducted by the queen as she creates a giant web between two buildings. Jean is soon killed, and Paul is swallowed whole by the spider, although he sticks a piece of dynamite inside its body, and attaches a rope to it before falling out the spinneret. Paul uses an explosive to ignite the rope, the spark eventually reaching the dynamite, causing the queen to blow up from the inside out, killing it. Paul is rescued by military forces, and reunites with Petra as all of the remaining spiders soon die.

            Jean and her three friends are on a camping trip in the mountains when they are targeted from space. Jean is the first to notice something wrong when she video tapes a UFO flying overhead. At first her friends don't believe her and they are not convinced from what they see on the tape. But that night when they are sitting around the camp fire with Jean taping their antics, the Aliens attack. The four friends flee for their lives, Jean still clutching the camera, but there is no way to escape. Eventually they are netted and transported from the earth's surface. Jean and her friend's wake up in a holding cell on the ship. Jean uses the camera's night vision to explore the alien glyphs and passages. Then a horrific alien vocalization comes over a loud speaker and the friends are rounded up and pushed into a room where they are tied up and vivisected.Jean awakens in a hospital suffering from terrible flashbacks, flashbacks of her violent abduction. Then, in the night, alone and in the dark, a shadowy figure comes into her room and staples something into the back of her neck. The flashbacks stop. Jean has no memory of the abduction.Jean is questioned by a staff psychiatrist, Dr. Booker, who reveals that she is in a specialized hospital for those who have been abducted by UFOs. She has to remain under their care until they are certain that she can return to her regular life without causing a panic. The military attache, commander Shakti is not so generous with Jean. She wants her locked up and lobotomized. Jean only adds to her desperate situation by breaking into a private wing of the hospital to find one of her friends who she sees going in there. To her horror that part of the hospital is reserved for mutants, the insane and people who are being lobotomized. Jean is captured by Shakti and given electric shock until she is unconscious. When She wakes up, Shakti interrogates her and then sends her to her death in an execution room. But Jean knocks out the medical technician and escapes into the waste system. She wanders underneath the facility looking through vents for a way out. Until she finds a storage room with nobody in it. She crawls out and explores, eventually finding her own things in a box with her name on it. In there is her video camera. The tape is gone but the memory stick is still there. She replays the video and is shocked to see the entire abduction on tape. She quickly escapes from the storage room killing a guard on the way. She also sees and tapes a scientist tending to and maybe even breeding alien larvas in a secret lab.Jean breaks into a medical technicians locker room and disguises herself from head to toe. She overhears that the aliens have escaped form the lab and are infecting the facility. So the conflict with the Aliens is escalating and the hard-liners must purge the facility of those that they believe to be spies and traitors.One by one the infected people are killed only to reveal an alien larva cracking out of their faces and escaping. Jean tries to save her friends from the secret wing but they are a mess and Todd barely seems to remember that he even knows her. Jean gets them to near safety when Todd turns on them.The final moments of the film cannot be revealed a this time (some reviews have said that this film has one of the best endings of all time).
