Prior to co-founding CineMall in San Francisco, a startup platform designed to make TV episodes and movies shoppable, Gilbert was a Managing Director of Cinewerx Film Production in Munich until March 2014. Educated at the Academy of Art University's Motion Picture & Television Production School in San Francisco, Gilbert's film history includes roles as executive producer for the feature documentary film, Back Roads (2007) and feature films' Star Child (2007) and You, Me, Love (2009).Parallel to his work with CineMall, Gilbert has completed production of an animated feature film titled Nephilim and two animated TV shows Sam Sumo and Time Leap. He is also developing the live-action feature, The Spider with internationally recognized Stars, Oscar-winning music composer and director Robert Sigl.In addition to producing live-action movies, animation, TV shows and documentaries, Gilbert has worked as an executive producer of American TV episodes of Only in L.A. (2005), 'Entertainment Today Television' (2006) and 'On the Road' (2006). He is also known for lending his voice to the popular animated TV series Letters from Felix (2002), and feature films Felix, The World Traveling Hare (2005) and Felix 2, The Hare and the Time Machine (2006) with Director Giuseppe Laganà.
