South African born Gemma-Ashley Kaplan comes from three generations of performers. After years of voice and dance training in her youth, Gemma undertook a Bachelor of Performing Arts at Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts where her roles included Maria in 'West Side Story', Young Jane Eyre in 'Jane Eyre' and Sarah Darcy in 'The Good Fight', which also toured to the New York Music Theatre Festival (2007).Gemma-Ashley's professional stage credits include Sally Durant in 'Follies' for The Production Company and originating the role of Clara Makin in 'The Hatpin' for seasons at the Seymour Centre in Sydney and the New York Music Theatre Festival (2008). In the two years she lived in New York City Gemma appeared in many Broadway and off Broadway concerts including Cutting Edge Composers (2009).Screen credits include a recurring role in 'Neighbours' (Australia's longest-running drama series that started in 1985) for Fremantle Media and the short film 'My Favourite Cafe' (2012) directed by Paul Watters.
