Join British superstar Gordon Ramsay, Italian stallion Gino D'Acampo and French master maitre d' Fred Sirieix as they take a road trip.

Leading UK chefs guide host Fred Sirieix around their chosen city to experience three restaurants where they genuinely love to eat and explore what goes into making them so special.

Fred and Allegra put teams of 10 to 14 year-olds through their paces as they set out to uncover a maître d' and head chef who have the potential to be future stars of the restaurant industry.

Initially an experiment in which real dates are filmed, and then viewers get the chance to apply to date the unsuccessful participants the following week. Later this aspect was removed and replaced with a cast of regular restaurant staff.

Participants try to convince a jury that their new restaurant ideas could work.

Maître d' Fred takes a break from the show's restaurant to take over the running of a luxury hotel in the south of France where he will welcome singletons from the UK on a two-day dating stay.
