Ezra Josef was born in Columbia, MO and raised in Miami, FL. Now 16, Ezra started acting at the age of six in local children's theatre. His favorites among his numerous children's and community theatre roles have included: Flounder in Disney's The Little Mermaid, Rooster Hannigan in Annie, Jr., Jack in Into the Woods, Jr., and Boy/Peter in Peter and the Starcatcher. Ezra wrote and directed a stage reading of his original play, Lessons From Out of This World. The reading raised money for the non-for-profit organization, Operation Respect. Ezra has also performed in short films, feature films, and web series, as well as in commercials and voice over roles. He can be seen as Adelbert Yates in In Sanity, Florida. Ezra is a successful student in an AP Capstone Magnet Program at his local high school and was previously the President of his middle school's National Junior Honor Society. He is a member of his high school's Thespians club, was a member of the middle school's Varsity Basketball Team, and is accomplished in Shotokan Karate (1st Kyu) and Okinawan weapons (nunchaku, tonfa, bo, and kama), enjoys singing and playing violin, guitar (both electric and acoustic), ukulele, and piano, and loves to dance (tap, jazz, musical theatre, and more).
