Christmas with Holly


            Formerly in charge of the Marines Search & Rescue K-9 Unit in Afghanistan, Captain Grace Garland (Eloise Mumford) receives an honorable discharge and returns stateside. Missing her Marine "family," which includes Christmas, her white Labrador retriever, Grace heads cross-country to Cincinnati for a new job. Along the way, her jeep breaks down and Grace goes careening into a snow bank. Unharmed, she is greeted by a dog that leads her to his owner, Joe Peterson (Sean Faris), the Judge of Rivers Crossing. After administering first aid to a cut on Grace's forehead, Joe has her jeep towed to his uncle's auto repair shop where she learns the damage might take three weeks to repair due to the busy holiday season. Luckily, Joe has a guesthouse behind his home for Grace to stay and, according to Joe's Uncle, if anyone had to be stranded somewhere this time of the year, "River Crossing at Christmas is pretty special."
In fact, the town is decorated to the hilt for the holidays and Joe and his entire family are full of the Christmas spirit. His sister Katie (Amanda Lisman) lends Grace clothing for church, his Aunt Nellie (Mary Long) is on the Christmas decorating committee, his mother Fran (Paula Barrett) is involved with the church charity, his niece Addison is in the annual Christmas play, and Joe himself portrays Santa for the town's Winter Wonderland Festival and helps to hand out Christmas trees to veterans at the army base. Invited to participate in all the festivities, Grace begins to cherish the beautiful spirit of Rivers Crossing and the town welcomes her with open arms. Even more so, Grace grows close to Joe and the two begin to fall in love.
But one night while Joe and Grace are on the ice rink, Joe's ex-girlfriend Marnie (Miriam McDonald) shows up, and Grace worries that the two might still have feelings for one another. Marnie is not only beautiful but she also lives in Chicago, where Grace has just learned Joe might be moving to advance his career by becoming a District Court Judge. She'd been thinking about possibly taking Sheriff Cooper (Jacob Blair) up on his offer to head the Search & Rescue department in Rivers Crossing, but if Joe were to leave, Grace saw no point in staying.
As Christmas approaches, Joe and Grace spend a great deal of time together and Joe begins to question his move to Chicago, even asking Grace if he should go. Though she wants him to stay, she tells Joe to search his heart for the answer. But when Grace goes Christmas shopping with Katie and sees Joe on the sidewalk talking with Marnie, her heart sinks. Then, when she accidentally overhears Joe on the phone with his ex, Grace decides it's time to leave town. Telling Sheriff Cooper she'll get her car later, she gives him the keys to Joe's guesthouse and asks him to say goodbye to all the wonderful people she's met. Brokenhearted, Grace boards a bus to an uncertain future without the man she loves...until Joe hears about it and sets in motion a big surprise he hopes will get Grace to stay in Rivers Crossing forever.

            In this sequel to 'Fifty Shades of Grey', the opening scene shows Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) having a nightmare about his childhood. He overhears his mother being abused by his father. Young Christian hides, but his father finds him and prepares to abuse him with his cigarette.Meanwhile, Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) has found a new job at the publishing firm Seattle Independent Publishing as an assistant to her boss Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson). Christian sends her flowers to congratulate her. She is about to throw them out but decides to keep them. As Ana is out around town, she is followed by a strange woman (Bella Heathcote).That night, Ana attends an art show for her friend Jose (Victor Rasuk). She's unnerved to find six pictures of herself hanging from the walls. The art director then approaches Jose to tell him that somebody has bought all six pictures. Of course it's Christian. He approaches Ana and wants to fix their relationship over dinner. Ana agrees only because she's hungry.Over dinner, Christian explains that he wants to take Ana back to be his submissive mate, and he is willing to negotiate with her on her terms. She just wants him to not inflict his dominant desires upon her, to which he agrees. Eventually, they renew their relationship and start having kinky sex again.Jack invites Ana out for drinks. Before meeting with Jack, Ana is approached by the woman who was following her. She knows Ana's name and says little before Jack pulls Ana away. Christian finds them in the bar and is suspicious of Jack's true intentions when he catches Jack acting a bit flirty toward Ana. Later at home, Christian informs Ana that he bought SIP and will essentially be her and Jack's boss. At Christian's home, he takes out a file with pictures of this woman. Christian explains that the woman's name is Leila Williams, and she was a former submissive of Christian's. She wanted more from the relationship than Christian did, so they parted ways. Leila got married to another man, but he later died in a car accident, leading to Leila having a nervous breakdown. Ana asks Christian if he has a file on her as well. Without an answer, she know he does and demands to see it.In Christian's room, Ana sees a picture of his birth mother, who slightly resembles Ana. Christian mentions that she was a crack addict who died of an overdose when he was age 4 and was not found for three days while he stayed with her body. He later met his stepmother Grace (Marcia Gay Harden) at the hospital, and she would later care for the boy.Christian invites Ana to a ball. He takes her to a salon in preparation and runs into Elena Lincoln (Kim Basinger), the woman that got Christian into the BDSM lifestyle. Ana is none too happy since she knows Elena was Christian's dominant. Christian assures Ana that Elena is just a business partner since they co-own the salon. It does nothing to ease Ana's mind.Before they head off to the ball, Christian takes out Ben Wa balls for Ana to put in her vagina for consistent pleasure during the party. He then tells her it is a masquerade ball. The two meet with Grace and Christian's adoptive sister Mia (Rita Ora). They sit for a bidding to a luxury vacation, which Ana wins when she bids $24,000 that Christian had transferred into her bank account. In the bathroom, Elena approaches Ana and urges her to break it off with Christian before both of them get hurt. Ana tells Elena to leave them alone.In the parking garage at Christian's home, he and Ana find that Ana's car has been vandalized.Ana and Christian later go on their romantic getaway on Christian's boat, which he named after Grace.Back at work, Jack is more cold to Ana after learning Christian is her boyfriend. He reminds her to set up a meeting in New York between himself and other publishers, plus to get a room for herself since his assistant needs to be with him. Later, Jack tries to seduce Ana in his office but comes off like a predator. Ana kicks Jack in the groin and runs out of the building. Christian is outside as Ana runs into his arms telling him what Jack tried to do. Christian later has Jack fired.With Jack gone, Ana is given a temporary position to his old job as acting editor. She attends a meeting with the higher-ups and offers a suggestion that they reach out to a broader demographic instead of just publishing to established readers.Christian asks Ana to move in with her, and she agrees. As they go to pick up Ana's stuff from her place, Leila is there, having been stalking both Ana and Christian. Leila pulls out a gun. Ana tries to placate her by making it seem like Christian still cares about her. Christian and his bodyguard Taylor (Max Martini) arrive after Leila has already fired a shot at the wall. Christian orders Leila to get on her knees, and she immediately obeys. Ana thinks Christian can't get off without being dominant, and she leaves the house for hours. Meanwhile, Leila is sent to a psych ward to get help.When Ana returns home, Christian is pissed at her until Ana explains her feelings toward his dominance. He then turns submissive to Ana and gets on his knees so that she won't leave him. Ana gives in and they go off to have sex.Christian has another nightmare while Ana is awake. She goes over to comfort him in bed. He then asks Ana to marry him, but she doesn't give an answer because she needs time to consider.Christian goes with a business partner to a trip in Portland. As he returns from the trip, his helicopter's engine breaks down, causing them to crash into a forest. Ana hears the news while out for drinks with Kate (Eloise Mumford), Elliott (Luke Grimes), and Jose. Ana waits and watches the news with Christian's family. Just as it is reported that Christian was found, he walks into the apartment. Everyone embraces him.Ana later finds out from Mia that Christian's birthday is coming up, as he failed to mention. Ana gets him a keychain with "Yes!" written on the back, meaning she has accepted his proposal. Christian is elated.The couple attend a birthday party for Christian. He announces his and Ana's engagement to the whole party. Elena later confronts Ana and accuses her of being after Christian's money and not actually loving him. Ana throws her drink in Elena's face. Christian orders her to leave. Grace overhears the confrontation and slaps Elena before demanding she leave the house.Christian takes Ana to a nearby boathouse where he proposes with an actual engagement ring. She accepts, and fireworks start to pop. The couple join Christian's family to watch the fireworks together. Meanwhile, across the lake, Jack is watching the fireworks and looks really worn out. He holds a picture of the Grey family and burns out Christian's face with a cigarette.Note: After the end credits, there is a brief teaser for "Fifty Shades Freed", which sees Ana and Christian about to get married, plus the promise of more kinky sex.

            The film opens on the wedding day of Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) with all their friends and family in attendance. After the reception, Christian takes Ana straight to their honeymoon by flying on his private jet to visit Europe, where they naturally consummate. Christian remains protective of Ana when they are at the beach and she is sunbathing topless, concerned that other men will try to make a move on her. Christian takes her back to their room, where more kinky sex ensues.Back at Grey Enterprises, a man is seen going to the company's data center to plant a bomb. Christian's assistant contacts him and informs him that there was a minor fire but nothing serious. After the couple watches security footage, Ana identifies the suspect as Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson), presumably seeking revenge after Ana and Christian got him fired after he tried to assault Ana.Upon returning home, Christian hires two bodyguards, Sawyer (Brant Daugherty) and Prescott (Kirsten Alter), to stay by Ana's side wherever she goes. He also hires an assistant, Mrs. Jones (Fay Masterson), to help around the house, but Ana says she wants to cook Christian dinner. During their dinner, Ana makes a joke about being pregnant, which appears to make Christian uncomfortable. She asks if he does want kids, and he says maybe someday.Ana returns to work at SIP where she is promoted to the senior editor position, though she feels that people will think she only got it thanks to Christian. He visits Ana while she meets with a writer, Boyce Fox (Tyler Hoechlin), with the implication that he is jealous, and he is also upset that Ana still uses her maiden name at work and not Grey.Christian takes Ana to a house he bought away from the city for the two of them. They meet with the architect, Gia Matteo (Arielle Kebbel), who comes off as very flirty with Christian. Ana notices and very assertively tells Gia to back off and to pick a new design for the house.
On their way back to the city, Christian's bodyguard Taylor (Max Martini) informs him that someone is following them. Ana drives the car into the city and manages to evade the driver. They pull over somewhere and begin to have sex. Ana thrusts Christian very vigorously as he climaxes with no condom on.Later, they review surveillance pictures of the driver, which appears to be a woman and not Jack. Christian orders his people to dig up everything they can on Jack. Afterwards, Ana offers to cut Christian's hair. When she goes to find scissors in his desk, she finds a gun in there. Christian tells her it belonged to Leila Williams (the woman that stalked them), and he didn't turn it in to the police because he didn't want Leila to get into more trouble than she was already in.Ana goes out for a drink with Kate (Eloise Mumford), despite Christian wanting her home soon. Kate mentions that Elliot (Luke Grimes) said that police found a number of files on Jack's computer of the Grey family, which Christian never told Ana. Before going home, Ana notices she has six missed calls from Christian, but Sawyer told him where Ana was. When she gets home, Jack appears in her room and holds a knife to her throat, attempting to kidnap her. Sawyer and Prescott intervene and take Jack down before the police arrive.After the incident, Christian is distant from Ana, as he felt he couldn't protect her because he didn't know where she was. He brings her into his pleasure room for some BDSM but he only teases her as a means of punishing her for breaking their trust. Christian says he was fearful because he dreamed that Ana was dead and that he blamed himself for not being able to help her.To reconcile, Christian surprises Ana with a trip to Aspen with Kate, Elliot, Mia (Rita Ora), and Jose (Victor Rasuk). Upon arriving at their house, Christian plays the piano and starts to sing, which Elliot and Mia say they have never heard him do. Although they are enjoying their vacation, Ana has a nightmare that Jack has found her. She goes to eat ice cream in the kitchen before Christian goes to find her. Soon, they start licking the ice cream off of each other before getting down to the business.While out dress-shopping with Kate and Mia, Ana notices Elliot out on the streets with Gia, whom Christian had mentioned was an ex-girlfriend of Elliot's. Later that night, the group attends a club where Elliot proposes to Kate, and she accepts. It turns out Gia was just helping Elliot find the perfect ring.After the vacation, Ana is visited at work by a detective working on the case against Jack. He is set for a bail hearing that afternoon, and he is telling the authorities that he and Ana had a fling that he broke off, leading her to react angrily and get him fired by making up the assault story. Ana attends the bail hearing where the judge grants Jack bail at $500,000 due to his previously clean record. As he is being escorted out, he makes a smug face at Ana.Ana visits the doctor and finds out she is pregnant. She later tells Christian, who reacts poorly and says he is not ready to be a father, even though Ana insists that they can try to make it work.Christian later comes home drunk, and Ana takes him to bed. She sees his phone receive a text from Elena Lincoln (his former mistress). Ana sleeps in the pleasure room, feeling betrayed. The two of them argue about it in the morning, with Ana suggesting that if she has to, she will leave Christian for the sake of their child.At work, Ana receives a call from Mia's phone. However, it's Jack, who was released on bail, and he is holding Mia hostage with the demand that Ana bring him $5 million within less than two hours, and if she tells Christian, Jack will return Mia in pieces.Ana goes to the bank to withdraw the money. Christian calls her after hearing about this and thinks that Ana is trying to leave her, but she cannot explain herself. Jack calls Ana again and tells her he knows Christian is arriving at the bank because he has a driver outside the bank keeping an eye out. He orders Ana to give the driver her phone when she gets there. Ana gets the money but borrows the phone of one of the tellers. Before Christian can get to Ana, she is already getting in the car with the driver, Liz (Amy Price-Francis), an assistant from work that slept with Jack and is being blackmailed by him since he taped them. Sawyer informs Christian he saw Ana get in Liz's car and that she threw Ana's phone out, but it turns out Ana hid her own phone in the money bag and is allowing Christian to track her phone.Ana arrives at the meet up with Jack. He proceeds to hit Ana and kick her in the stomach. Ana takes out Leila's gun and shoots Jack in the leg just as Christian and the cops arrive. Jack and Liz are arrested and Ana is taken to the hospital.In the hospital, Christian is by Ana's bedside with his mother Grace (Marcia Gay Harden). Christian tells Grace he was worried Ana would leave him, but Grace is confident Ana would never do that. Ana soon wakes up, and Christian goes to her with tears in his eyes.At home, Ana and Christian go over the case files on Jack. It turns out that Christian and Jack were both part of the same foster care group, and Christian wonders if he would have turned out like Jack if he didn't get adopted, but Ana assures him he wouldn't have. Ana also notices that the police found out where Christian's biological mother is buried. The two visit her grave and place flowers down.Ana reflects on her whole journey with Christian and how they fell in love. Ana then goes to the pleasure room and invites Christian to join her.The final scene is years later with Ana and Christian at their house with their son, and Ana is already pregnant with their second child.
