Karina Chimoto, who works at an advertising agency, is put in charge of a launch event for an adult ballet-wear brand, but when the scheduled dancer becomes unavailable, she is suddenly forced to step in as a substitute because of her prior ballet experience. On that very day, shaken by this unexpected accident, Karina faces yet another shock: Yumi Futagi, whom she met in ballet class at age 6 and who had been her closest friend for 20 years, suddenly declares their friendship over. Yumi has fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a professional ballerina. Unable to believe Yumi's declaration, Karina visits her home and the ballet company where she works, only to be flatly refused even a meeting. Confused, Karina wanders into a ramen shop and is stunned to find Yumi working there. Stricken, Karina decides to enroll as a student at the ballet school where Yumi teaches, and even starts showing up at "Tameguchi," the ramen shop where Yumi works part-time. She tries everything she can to get Yumi to reveal the reason behind her sudden rejection, but will their friendship ever be restored?
