Cynthia is an established actor who has been working steadily in film, television and theatre for the past 15 years. "Made in the USA, but born in Toronto" she has dual Canadian and American Citizenship with Cherokee Indian, Irish, English and Czechoslovakian ancestry.Her start in the business we call "show" was at a very early age when she would write, produce and cast her own short productions which were performed for her family (a very captive audience) in the living room. Soon she was enrolled in local classes where her performances (both on stage and through Rogers Community TV) won rave reviews. Later that year, her performance of Lady Macbeth's monologue won her top prize at the Stratford Festival junior competition.Cynthia continued to act until 1986 when she briefly left her passion for storytelling to attend University of Toronto and earn her B.Sc. specializing in Psychology and majoring in Crime and Deviance. Upon graduating, her love of storytelling soon lured her back. She quickly rose in demand as leading lady with several local community theatre groups as she consistently garnered Best Actress awards for her performances including "Nuts", "Shady Business", "Key for Two" and "In a Minute".Her film career has given her the privilege to work many of Toronto's best professionals including a principal role in "Green Crayons" which premiered at TIFF 2010, directed by Kazik Radwanski and "Shattered" (for MADD) directed by Robert Vaughan. She has had Lead roles in the feature films "10-57" which won Best Action Film of the Year in the "Action on Film" festival in Los Angeles, CA., and "Advocate". Corporate and Promotional shorts include Whistler Film Festival (Jeff Low), CFC (Jeff Chan) and Rogers Communications (Jim Morrison).Professional training with some of Toronto's best has allowed Cynthia to improve and hone her craft under the guidance of many notable acting coaches including Jeb Beach, Lewis Baumander, Cindy Tanas, David Rotenberg and Bruce Clayton. Her voice training includes Kim Hurdon, Joy Juckes, Debra Toffan and Caroly Lawson.Always eager to continue learning and growing outside of "the Industry" Cynthia has completed courses in Holistic Nutrition, Fitness and Cooking.
