Bobby Catalano was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Catalano first gained fame on the television program Dance Party USA which aired for 5 years on the USA Network. Starting as a dancer on the show and then later becoming the host of the hit dance show. He was considered, during these times, a teen idol who became very popular and was well known for his famous sunglasses which he only removed once a year on the Valentines Day show. In the course of the show's run, Catalano removed the shades only two times.
