            In 19th century Dublin, Albert Nobbs, an eccentric man in the latter part of middle age, works as a waiter in Morrison's Hotel run by the stingy and controlling Marge Baker. Albert is hard working and saves his money so that one day he will be able to eke out a better life for himself by owning his own business rather than work at the hotel. Beyond his work colleagues, he is all alone in the world. One day, a man named Hubert Page is hired by Mrs. Baker to paint one of the rooms in the hotel. She forces Hubert to share Albert's bed for the one night as he is required to stay to complete the work, much to Albert's horror. Hubert discovers the reason Albert did not want to share a room with him. But rather than the issue being a problem, Hubert shows Albert that he can follow a slightly different life path than the one he envisioned for himself - one closer to the life that Hubert leads with his wife Cathleen - which includes getting married and having a wife to support him emotionally. Albert's choice as a bride is his younger flirtatious co-worker Helen Dawes, who, unknown to Albert, is already in a sexual relationship with the brusque and sly Joe Mackins, another co-worker recently arrived at Morrison's. As Albert, Helen and Joe play their respective games of courtship, Albert may find that what seemed to come naturally to Hubert may be more difficult for him.

            Film archivist David has been having a rough time lately, as he suspects that his wife Alice has been cheating on him with Alex, one of her work clients. This stress is compounded when David's work partner Claire gives him a reel of footage to be archived that shows that his house was the setting for a brutal murder in 1902. David's fears are confirmed when he follows Alice after work and sees her have sex with Alex. Devastated, David grabs a hammer but, coming to his senses, throws it into a nearby canal. Feeling sick, he rushes to a nearby public toilet that his son Billy believes to be haunted, where he vomits. A creepy voice whispers unintelligibly to him and, before passing out, David sees what he believes to be a ghostly figure murder his wife.When Alice does not return home he contacts the police. When Detective McNamara questions him, David denies knowledge of the affair and does not mention the events at the canal. The police eventually find her body at the bottom of the canal, though they rule her death accidental. As David grieves, he becomes obsessed with a series of unsolved, 100-year-old murders that took place around the canal and his home, worrying Claire and putting an increasing strain on his relationship with Billy's nanny, Sophie. David's behavior grows erratic, and he borrows early 20th-century cameras to shoot footage around his home and the canal, where he hopes to capture evidence of supernatural activity. After becoming convinced he has seen ghosts, he moves Sophie and Billy out of his house and into a hotel room.During a video chat with Billy, David sees a ghost in the background, and he breaks into the hotel room, frightening Sophie. David moves them back into the house, but when David is unwilling to explain his behavior, Sophie tells him that she plans to quit in the morning. That night, Sophie is assaulted. David grabs her and locks her in a closet with Billy as he searches the house. Now on his own, David turns to Claire for help in developing footage; she reluctantly agrees. When the police find the hammer in the canal, they become suspicious that David murdered his wife. David's lawyer is able to broker a deal in which Billy will not be taken from him until the results of a psychiatric examination, though David refuses to follow through with it.Claire drops by David's house to deliver the developed film stock, and he convinces her to watch it with him. Though she at first says she sees nothing, she is frightened by a ghostly figure that approaches closer and closer, until it emerges from a hole in the wall. The ghost strangles Claire, and David flees, only to run into McNamara, who was watching the house. The policemen chase David as he flees with Billy into a hidden tunnel that leads to the canal. David, who believes the tunnel was used by devil worshipers to sacrifice local children, is flooded with memories as he sees a ghostly version of his wife: the voice in the toilet ordered him to kill his wife and, in a rage, he drowned her in the canal. When Claire saw nothing on the footage, he strangled her himself.When David reaches the canal, a ghostly figure pulls him under. He does not fight it, though he helps McNamara rescue Billy. Following David's death, Billy's grandmother sells the house and takes custody of Billy. As Billy runs into the house to fetch a toy, David's ghost appears from behind the wall and tells Billy that they can be together forever in the house if he follows instructions; Billy jumps out of his grandmother's car as they drive down the road. Back in the house, the real estate salesperson smiles as she sees Billy run upstairs and slam a door.

            Rebecca Dalys first feature film The Other Side of Sleep is the haunting journey of Arlene (Antonia Campell Hughes), a ghost in her own life who resides in a town in the Midlands surrounded by field after field, woodlands and lanes to disappear down and never come back.One morning she wakes in the woods beside the body of a young woman as someone watches from the trees. The body is soon discovered and suspicion spreads through the community. Increasingly drawn to the deceased girl's family, her grieving sister, and accused boyfriend, Arlene barricades herself in at night, afraid to sleep.             Storage 24 is a sci-fi horror film directed by Johannes Roberts and written by Noel Clarke and Davie Fairbanks. The story is introduced following a disaster that occurs on board a military plane. The aircraft spirals into Greater London and releases highly classified contents all over the city. The city is in panic and goes into total lockdown. However, four people are trapped inside a warehouse and are unaware of what is happening outside.Charlie (Noel Clarke) and Shelley (Antonia Campbell-Hughes), accompanied by best friends Mark (Colin ODonoghue) and Nikki (Laura Haddock), are dividing their belongings after breaking up. Charlie has just been dumped by Shelley. Friendships are divided and feelings run hot and cold. Of course, its irrelevant in the face of danger.The group is alarmed when the power goes out and they become trapped in numerous warehouse corridors. Worse yet, they are being stalked by something not human and not too friendly. The warehouse was designed as a storage facility and is designed to keep people out and things inside. The odds are stacked against the protagonists, as they struggle to survive amid very claustrophobic conditions.Along the way, David (played by Ned Dennehy) provides comic relief as a hermit bloke archetype and also sacrifices himself for the other characters. He also gets to whisper at the creature, "You're vicious, arent you. Just like my wife, my Mary!". The biggest revelation is that the creature is a vicious alien who is blood-thirsty and quite angry. It looks similar to the Predator monster, and is mostly seen in extreme close up shots. There's also an indication that it may be male, since it seems to have a strange reaction to Shelley and her long eyelashes. However, it is later revealed that the alien is most likely female, therefore making the metaphor of an ex-girlfriend ripping one's heart out into a literal act of brutality. The plot thickens when Charlie learns Mark has been having an affair with his girl all along.Relationships are one of the film's key points, as there is a speech late in the film regarding what being a man really means. The film ends with a huge amount of fireworks as the alien takes on a small toy dog who has explosives attached to it. This mirrors the beginning of the film that features a nameless dog walker (Amy Pemberton) stumbling upon the dangerous warehouse.Storage 24 was wide released January 11, 2013.
