Amber Greenlee is an entertainment artist and writer with past work experience in film, comic book publishing, live-television, and puppetry. Growing up in Southern California, she was close enough to Los Angeles to get the bug. As a child, she assisted The Great Who-Dunnit (as the Great She-Dunnit), a local stage and close up magician, learning many close up magic and card tricks from him. The Hollywood Legend John Chambers was good friends with her father William, gifting her family a latex model head of Dr. Zaius from his work on the original 1968 film, Planet of the Apes. She sparked her interest in makeup and the make believe. By age 18, she was already an intern at O Entertainment on the Thumb series of shorts, working alongside industry legends such as Steve Oedekerk, Rob Paulsen, and Jim Jackman.As a child, she learned to draw from her father William, an accomplished artist in his own right, and her mentor, the artist and writer Ken Penders. She acted in the position of Penders' assistant on the Archive Comics title Sonic the Hedgehog between the dates of 1998 and 2004. Between the years of 1996 and 2007, Ms. Greenlee published several web-comics online including No Stereotypes, Glych's Experiment, The Life of Glych, NonPersons, Red Dahlia, and participated as guest artist on several others including The Adventures of Mayberry Melonpool, Tokyo High, CircleWeave, Framed!, and Glick Glidewell. In 2007, Ms. Greenlee entered the Comic Art Program at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, graduating with a BFA in 2010.While obtaining her degree in Minneapolis, Ms. Greenlee was also one of the star-artists of the popular live cable access show Philo, created by Hamil Griffen-Cassidy and a recurring guest on the popular late-night live program Freaky Deeky. She was also part of the core team of Transylvania Television playing Ms. Mansfield, Ginny Greenteeth, and Esmeralda the Gypsy. After receiving her degree, Ms. Greenlee returned to California, receiving the award for Best Special Effects at the San Diego 48-Hour Film Project for the short Box.
