Alex Webb is an actor/writer/director. His first feature film, To The Flame, was nominated for Best Feature at the Madrid International Film Festival. It also won Best Screenplay and Best Ensemble Honorable Mention at the Queens World Film Festival as well as a Best Actor nomination for Mr. Webb. His first film as writer/director was "The Girl in 2C" which won a silver medal at the Houston WorldFest Film Festival. His next award-winning film, "Hove (The Wind)", starring Oscar-winner Olympia Dukakis and Shirleyann Kaladjian, was an official selection of the Montreal, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Boston and Cleveland International Film Festivals. He was awarded the Panavision New Filmmaker award. His feature-length screenplay "Welcome to LA" won honorable mention for Best Screenplay at Cinequest. His new play "Amelia", set during the Civil War, received critical acclaim in its World Premiere in Washington DC and has been produced at a number of theaters across the country and was recently published by Samuel French.
