
            Charles Lee Ray is a serial killer chased by detective Mike Norris. Eddie Caputo is waiting for Charles in the getaway van. Mike shoots Charles in the back. An approaching police car scares Eddie into driving off, leaving Charles behind. Charles shoots off the lock and enters a toy store. Mike lands another shot on Charles. Charles realizes he is dying. Before he dies, he grabs a Good Guy Doll and does a strange chant. Dark clouds appear, lightning strikes and the toy store blows up. The only thing left for Mike to find is Charles's dead body, lying next to a Good Guy Doll.Andy sees a commercial for the Good Guy Doll on TV. Unfortunately, there is no Good Guy Doll inside the large present, just a bunch of clothes. Andy's mother Karen didn't know about the doll in time to save up for it. Maggie comes up with a solution. There is a peddler in an alley who sells a Good Guy Doll to Karen for fifty dollars. At the workplace, Karen's boss says Mrs Howe has taken sick. Karen has to work overtime and fill her place. Maggie says she will babysit Andy. Andy is filled with joy, having finally received his Good Guy Doll. The doll introduces itself: "Hi, I'm Chucky and I'm your friend 'til the end. Hidey ho, ha ha ha."Maggie says it's time for bed. Andy says that Chucky wants to watch the nine o'clock news, but Maggie says it's time for bed. Maggie finds the TV turned back on and Chucky sitting in front of it. She tucks Andy in bed with Chucky. Maggie thinks the noise coming from down the hallway is Andy. She finds a jar of spilled flour on the floor. She goes to clean it up and gets a hammer to the face. She stumbles backwards, crashes through the window and falls to her death. There are shoe prints in the flour. Mike Norris looks at the soles of Andy's shoes. They're the same design. Karen says that Andy doesn't know how the footprints got there. Mike says somebody made those footprints. If it's not Andy, then who? Andy finds that Chucky has flour on the bottom of his shoes. Mike and Karen don't believe Andy about Chucky being the killer. Karen finds Andy talking to Chucky. "His real name is Charles Lee Ray. He says that Maggie was a real bitch and got what she deserved."The next day, Andy takes Chucky to school with him. When Karen is out of sight, Andy leaves the school and walks in the other direction. He rides on a train to the house where Eddie Caputo is hiding. He puts Chucky in a chair and leaves to take a piss. Chucky in the first-person point of view enters the house, opens the oven and turns on the gas. Eddie is awoken by the noise. He approaches the kitchen door, opens the door and shoots. The house blows up. In the police station, Karen tells Andy that if he doesn't start telling the truth, they're going to take him away from her. Andy tries to get Chucky to say something. Chucky doesn't seem to say anything but Andy seems to understand him. "He told me never to tell about him or he'd kill me."Doctor Ardmore says he's seen more than enough. Maybe Andy should spend a few days with them. Back in the apartment, Karen is now wanting Chucky to say something. She picks up the box. The batteries fall out. The toy's batteries were still in the box. She opens the doll's battery compartment. It's empty. The head spins around and says "Hi, I'm Chucky. Wanna play?" She drops the doll in fright. She threatens to throw the doll in the fire if it does not talk. And it does talk: "You stupid bitch! You filthy slut! I'll teach you to fuck with me!" Chucky bites her arm. She throws him off. Chucky runs off. There is an elevator going down. Karen takes the stairs. By the time she gets to the ground floor and out the front door, Chucky is nowhere to be seen. Karen runs to Mike Norris, but even the bite mark on her arm won't convince him that Andy was telling the truth. Karen is off to find the peddler who sold her the doll. Mike says: "That isn't a good part of town to be in at this time of night."Karen finds the peddler and asks where he got the doll from. The peddler asks: "What will you give me if I tell you?" Karen hands over her money. The peddler says: "It's not enough."Karen says it's all she has. The peddler says: "You got a lot." He gets ready to get dirty with Karen. Mike arrives. He waves his gun around to scare away the other people. Some rough handling gets the peddler to talk. He found the doll at a burned down toy store at Wabash. Mike says: "Charles Lee Ray died there."Mike is inside his car. Chucky strangles Mike with a cord. Mike loses control of the car. He grabs the car's cigarette lighter and burns Chucky in the face with it. Chucky is stabbing through the back of the seat. The car is flipped upside down. Chucky says that Mike can't hurt him. When Mike lands a shot on Chucky, it actually does hurt him. The bullet wound bleeds too. Chucky visits John Bishop to find out what's going on. John explains that Chucky is turning human. The more time he spends inside this doll, the more human he becomes. Chucky asks for a way out of this. At first, John refuses, "You're an abomination. An outrage against nature. You perverted everything I've taught you and use it for evil. And you have to be stopped."Chucky thought something like this might happen. He plays with a voodoo doll of John. He breaks his arm and his leg. John says that Chucky needs to transfer his soul into the first person who he told he was alive, which happens to be Andy. Chucky thanks John and stabs the voodoo doll in the heart. Mike and Karen arrive. John stays alive long enough to tell them about Chucky's plan to transfer his soul into Andy. He says Chucky's heart is almost human. The only way to kill Chucky is through the heart. With that, John dies.Chucky arrives at the mental institution. He finds the keys and unlocks the door. He pulls off the bed covers to find a pillow underneath. Andy runs out of the room. Doctor Ardmore grabs hold of Andy and tries to inject him with something to sedate him. Chucky picks up a scalpel and stabs the doctor in the back of the leg. The doctor falls to the floor. Chucky sticks an electric band on the doctor's head and turns up the voltage. The doctor's face goes black and blood comes out of his mouth. He's dead.Andy returns home and barricades the door. He finds a baseball bat in the closet. Chucky comes down the chimney and kicks down the fireguard. Andy takes a swing at Chucky and misses. Chucky knocks Andy out with the baseball bat. He starts the chant. Mike and Karen break through Andy's barrier. Karen grabs Chucky. Mike throws Chucky off Karen. Chucky slices Mike in the back of the leg. He stabs Mike in the crotch with the baseball bat and hits him on the head with it. Karen shoots Chucky in the leg. Chucky fights with Karen. Karen cages Chucky in the fireplace. Andy lights Chucky on fire. Chucky is climbing over the sofa as he burns. Andy gets the first aid kit for Mike but Chucky has disappeared. A small foot trips Andy. A black burnt Chucky is following Andy with the knife. Karen shoots at Chucky. The doll's head, the right arm and left leg come off. Karen shoots the body twice. Mike's partner Jack Santos appears. Mike is now saying the doll is alive. Jack does not believe them. The doll's body pops out of the air vent and starts strangling Jack. Karen gets the body off Jack. Mike shoots the body in the heart. Blood splatters and Chucky is finally dead. The head finishes off with a last quote: "Hi, I'm Chucky. Wanna play..." The film ends with a freeze frame of Andy's forlorn look as he walks out the door.
    

Child's Play


            The doll from the previous movie is cleaned, repaired and put back together. The manufacturers want to prove there was nothing wrong with the doll. There were rumors that someone tampered with the doll's voice cassette, something like "Hi, I'm Chucky. I'm the Lakeshore Strangler and I'm going to kill you." Andy is in a foster care home. His mother is in a psychiatric ward. While working on the doll, a supernatural force surges through the machine and electrocutes the technician. Mr Sullivan does not like how this looks. He wants Mattson to smuggle this error out of here in twenty-four hours. He comes up with a fine way to deal with the doll: "Stick it up your ass."Andy's foster parents Phil and Joanne bring Andy to their home. Phil lays down a rule: "First rule, don't touch the old stuff." Andy meets his foster sister Kyle. Andy opens a closet door. A Good Guy Doll falls down and scares Andy. Phil lays down another rule: "Andy, rule number two, no running in the house."Mattson stops at a liquor store. While he's gone, Chucky uses the car telephone to call the foster care home and get the whereabouts of Andy, "This is his Uncle Charles".Mattson returns. The car alarm is on, but there's nobody inside the car. While inside the car, Chucky holds Mattson at gunpoint. He orders Mattson to drive and park the car. He has Mattson put his hands behind the back of the seat. He ties the hands together with a skipping rope. He says: "Bang, you're dead." Water squirts out of the gun. They laugh. Chucky sticks a bag over the man's head and suffocates him to death. In the house, Chucky meets his look-alike, "Hi, I'm Tommy.""Shut up you idiot" says Chucky. He smashes the Tommy doll's face with the ornament. He buries the doll in the backyard. Phil is upset over the broken ornament. Andy and Kyle both deny that they did it. Phil says until one person confesses, they're both grounded. In the evening, Chucky has Andy tied to the bed and gagged. He has come up with a game called "Hide the Soul", which means doing the same chant as he did in the first movie. Kyle appears at the window. Chucky has to find another time when Andy is alone. Phil throws Chucky in the basement so it can't bother Andy. Chucky gets a nosebleed. He's turning human again. He must get to work on Andy's body fast.Andy goes to school. Chucky catches a ride underneath the school bus. He finds Andy's homework assignment and vandalizes it, giving Miss Kettlewell a personal message. The teacher puts Andy in detention. She throws Chucky in the closet and locks it. She also locks Andy in the room. Andy looks through the closet keyhole. Chucky's eye appears. Andy climbs out the window. Miss Kettlewell thinks the noise coming from the closet is Andy. She opens it to give him a good scolding. She can't find Andy anywhere. Chucky stabs Miss Kettlewell with an air pump and injects her full of air. She stumbles out of the closet, knocking some desks over. Chucky appears from the closet holding a big stick, "You've been very naughty Miss Kettlewell." The camera zooms out from the window with each swing of the stick.Back in the house, Kyle tells Andy that she has lived with dozens of families. They always seem to send her away when she starts to get comfortable. Every time it has happened, it has made her stronger. The only person she can rely on is herself. Andy says: "It doesn't matter. Wherever I go, Chucky will find me." Andy takes an electric meat knife and walks into the basement. Chucky drops down on Andy. There is a struggle as Andy crawls along the floor with Chucky on his back. Andy reaches the knife and hits Chucky in the head with it. Chucky runs off. Phil appears. He is being extra cautious seeing Andy holding the electric knife. Chucky trips Phil on the stairs, causing him to fall through the banister. "How's it hanging Phil?" says Chucky, before he lets go of the rope. Phil falls, breaks his neck and dies.Because of Phil's death, Joanne decides to return Andy to the foster care home. Kyle puts Chucky in the bin. She swings on a swing, smoking a cigarette. She kicks up some earth, enough to reveal a buried item. She pulls up the Tommy doll. She finds the bin empty. She finds Joanne at a sewing machine, her mouth gagged, and her throat slit. Chucky takes Kyle captive and forces her to drive to the foster care home. They must have been speeding as they are pulled over by the police. The policeman seems drawn to the doll. He asks: "What's your name, buddy?""Chucky" replies the doll. Blood coming out of its nose seems to freak out the policeman enough to let them go. Kyle accelerates and brakes suddenly, sending Chucky crashing through the windscreen. Kyle crashes the car against a post to throw Chucky off the bonnet. Kyle tries to crush Chucky against a fence, but Chucky gets out the way. Chucky takes Kyle captive again, "Playtime's over."The fire alarm is on in the foster care home. Kyle says that Chucky pulled the fire alarm. Grace brings them into her office. She grabs hold of the doll. Chucky comes to life, "Amazing isn't it." He stabs Grace in the chest. She falls onto a photocopy machine and her death face is printed. Chucky closes the door between Andy and Kyle. He has Andy get in the back of a Chicago Sun-Times van. Kyle drives the car in front of the van to stop the van. Andy is running with Chucky on his back into the Good Guy Doll factory, and Kyle in pursuit, leaving an angry driver behind. Andy runs through a maze of Good Guy Doll packages. Chucky knocks Andy out with a blow to the back of the head. Chucky actually manages to complete the chant. However, his nose continues bleeding. It is too late. He's been inside this doll's body for too long. Now he's stuck with it. Kyle knocks a stack of boxes onto Chucky.Kyle and Andy climb up a roller slide. Chucky appears and climbs up after Andy. Kyle pulls Andy to the top of the slide and closes a yellow gate down on Chucky's hand. Chucky rips his hand off trying to get it free. He uses a knife blade as a replacement for his hand. Kyle and Andy get through a machine inserting the dolls' eyes to get to an exit door. With dolls clogging up the production line, a technician takes notice. The technician clears the production line and gets into a dangerous position to fix the machine. Chucky slashes the technician's cheek with his knife hand. The technician falls backwards on the conveyor belt. A pair of doll's eyes are inserted in place of his own eyes.Chucky suddenly appears on a conveyor belt platform. Kyle grabs a box of pieces and knocks Chucky into a sitting position. A doll hair sewing machine sews Chucky down on the platform. Andy pushes the button, so the conveyor belt runs backwards. Chucky is sent inside a machine inserting the dolls' limbs. A messed-up pile of limbs comes out of the machine. A swinging technician corpse knocks Kyle onto the conveyor belt. Chucky has escaped the machine. He rides on a trolley as a replacement for his legs. Chucky's knife hand gets caught in a grate. Andy turns a valve. Molten plastic sprays over Chucky. Andy saves Kyle from entering the machine. Chucky comes back alive to attack them some more. Kyle sticks an air hose inside Chucky's mouth. His head grows so big and blows up. Chucky is dead for the second time. Andy and Kyle walk out the factory and the credits start to roll.

            The previous 'Child's Play' film ended with Nica being arrested for Chucky killing her family; Nica's niece Alice in Chucky's clutches; Tiffany (still possessing the body of actress Jennifer Tilly) subsequently mailing Chucky to a now-adult Andy Barclay (the protagonist in the first three films); and Andy shooting Chucky when the package arrives.Jumping ahead a few years, Andy (Alex Vincent) is on a date. His date looked up his past online and, creeped out by it, leaves early. Andy returns home and, from a safe, removes the decapitated but still alive head of Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif). This is the scar-headed version from Bride through Curse of Chucky (Scar-Chucky). The pair banter for a bit, and then Andy takes out a blow torch and begins torturing his nemesis with it.Meanwhile, Nica (Fiona Dourif) is receiving electro-shock therapy in a mental hospital. She was deemed insane and committed after trial for the events in the first film. She speaks with her psychologist, Dr. Foley (Michael Terriault). Dr. Foley notes that Nica has made a lot of progress in recognizing that she, not Chucky, killed her family. He has her transferred to a low-security institution. There, she meets fellow inmates Malcolm (who suffers from multiple personality disorder), Angela (schizophrenia), Madeleine (murdered her child), and Claire (anger issues and pyromania). Things go well at first. She and Malcom have sex and she begins group therapy. At one group session, Dr. Foley brings out a "Good Guy" doll he bought from Hot Topic. Nica looks shaken, but claims the doll is not real. Angela says Chucky called her on the phone and said he was going to murder them all. Madeleine then adopts the doll as her new "baby" (Baby-Chucky). Later that day, Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) shows up to speak with Nica. She states that she was Alice's guardian until Alice's recent death... of a broken heart. Nica is devastated to learn that Alice is dead and blames herself. Tiffany then leaves Nica with another Good Guy doll that Alice allegedly used during therapy.That night, one of the Chucky dolls (it is not revealed which one) steals a scalpel and walks down the hallway to Nica's room. He sees Angela, who believes she is hallucinating (Chucky also admits he had called Angela on the phone). Chucky promises to kill her next. Chucky enters Nica's room... and sees blood pooling on the floor. Chucky realizes Nica ripped one of the spokes off her wheelchair and slit her writs out of guilt over what happened to Alice. Nica awakens the next day to see her arm sewn up (in a manner similar to Scar-Chucky's face) and Chucky having written "not so fast" in the pool of blood. Nica then hears screaming and sees that Chucky had slit Angela's wrist with the wheelchair wire and killed her instead.At group therapy, Nica immediately drops the act and begins arguing that Chucky murdered Angela. To prove that Chucky isn't real, Dr. Foley uses a lighter to melt the hand of the Chucky doll given to her by Tiffany into a shape resembling a claw (Claw-Chucky). Presumably, were Chucky alive, he would have screamed in pain. When Nica demands he do the same thing to Baby-Chucky, Madeine flees the room with her "baby." Malcolm believes Nica and the pair begin following Madeleine. Malcolm goes outside where Madeleine fled to confront her. Watching from the window as there is no handicap access to the backyard, Nica sees Baby-Chucky move and flip her off. During a confrontation, Baby-Chucky and Malcolm fall into an open grave (apparently, the institution buries patients like Angela on-site). When they emerge, Malcolm gives Nica an evil smile and begins referring to himself as "Charles" (Chucky's human name had been Charles Lee Ray). This hints at the idea that Chucky is now possessing Malcolm. Meanwhile, Claire goes to throw Claw-Chucky in the trash when he comes to life and bites her. She freaks out and Dr. Foley and an orderly forcibly strap her to a bed before leaving the room to attend to another emergency. Claw-Chucky kills Claire by shooting an oxygen tank through the skylight above her, with the falling glass impaling and decapitating Claire.Andy hears of the murders, grabs a Chucky doll he had given a military haircut to (referencing the events of Child's Play 3), and begins driving to the institution. He receives a call from Tiffany (who admits she is still in Jennifer Tilly's body - i.e., the actress Jennifer Tilly is a character in this series) who taunts him. She also references there are "three of them" in a cult.Dr. Foley wheels Nica into his office where he hypnotizes her. Once she is hypnotized, it becomes clear that Dr. Foley has done this before and uses these opportunities to brainwash and rape Nica. He tells Nica that she is responsible for the deaths of Angela and Claire. He begins to kiss Nica when one of the Chuckys smashes him on the head with a glass bottle. Chucky admits that he doesn't know whether to kill Dr. Foley or commend him for being so twisted. He tries to convince Nica to kill Dr. Foley, but she doesn't. She then has a dream where she is taunted by Alice and attacked by a giant-sized Chucky. When Nica awakens, Dr. Foley claims that Nica was the one who attacked him.A little later, Dr. Foley receives the military haircut Good Guy doll (haircut-Chucky) in the mail. Andy shows up and demands to be committed, fighting the guards until they lock him in a rubber room. Madeleine seemingly has a breakthrough with the Baby Chucky and they bury the doll in the cemetery. Unsure how she will react having acknowledged that she killed her real child, Dr. Foley puts Madeleine on suicide watch. But Baby Chucky arises from his grave, crawls in through Madeleine's window, and kills her (with her consent) by ripping out her tongue. He then makes it look like a suicide. Dr. Foley returns to his office to find Nica there (she had been drugged by Claw-Chucky). Dr. Foley tells her he is going to pin the new deaths on her and write a book on her murders. He then puts Nica in high heels (he has a foot fetish) and begins molesting her when he is again knocked out by both Chucky dolls. Claw-Chucky explains that he learned a new voodoo spell that allows him to split his soul across multiple bodies. Chucky explains that he successfully possessed Alice and went on a killing spree in Alice's body. But one of Alice's victims fought back and killed her, thus forcing him back into the doll bodies. The two Chuckies then bring haircut-Chucky to life. The trio kill an orderly that walked in on them. Meanwhile, Tiffany pulls up outside the institution and slits the guard's throat. We see she has the doll her soul used to inhabit in the back seat.The Chuckys come up with a plan. Baby-Chucky goes off to tie up loose ends (killing a nurse and, eventually, Malcolm, who had never actually been possessed). Claw-Chucky successfully possesses Nica and in so doing, is able to allow her to walk again. Nica/Chucky gets out of her wheelchair and stomps Dr. Foley's head in with her high heels. Haircut-Chucky tries to kill Andy, but is overpowered by him. Andy rips open Haircut-Chucky's stomach and pulls out a gun he had hidden inside (he mailed the doll to Dr. Foley to smuggle the weapon inside the institution). Andy and Haircut-Chucky fight and Andy shoots the doll to death. Andy turns around and sees Nica/Chucky standing in the doorway. Nica/Chucky taunts Andy, saying he doesn't have the guts to sacrifice Nica to kill him. Andy does have the guts and tries to shoot Nica/Chucky, but is out of bullets. Nica/Chucky locks Andy into the rubber room (ostensibly the police will pin all the murders on Andy as he is the only one left alive and is in a cell with a gun and a bloody Chucky doll corpse). Nica/Chucky walks out of the institution as Baby-Chucky stays behind to keep an eye on Andy.Nica/Chucky walks up to Tiffany's car and the two make out. They get into the car, where Tiffany says she misses Alice. The two then burst into laughter at that comment... as does the Tiffany doll sitting in the back seat (this suggests that Tiffany may have also split her soul between the doll and Jennifer Tilly. It could also mean that the Tiffany doll houses Alice's soul, or perhaps Glen/Glenda's soul(s) as their fates remain unresolved). The three then drive off into the night as the police arrive.In a post-credits scene (in the DVD/Blu ray version only), the front door to Andy's house is opened. Scar-Chucky looks over and exclaims "Kyle!" (Christine Elise - Andy's foster sister from the second Chucky film). Kyle walks in and begins torturing the head of Scar-Chucky (and ostensibly, is the last hope for defeating the now-victorious cult of Chucky).
