Alberto Danuzio Coutinho Aguiar was born in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil, to Rosiane Cordeiro Coutinho, a hairdresser, and Dulvanir Pestana Aguiar, a tax auditor. His stepmother is a elementary school teacher, and his stepfather a Cuban American retired organist.He acted in plays from nine until eighteen years old, when moved to Miami with his mother and stepfather. He learned Spanish, English, and worked on Soup Operas from Telemundo-NBC such as "La Casa de Al Lado" (The House Next Door), "Corazon Valiente" (Brave Heart) and "El Rostro de La Venganza" (Revenge's Face).Al moved to New York to attend (for a year) NYFA Acting for Film Conservatory and then transferred to a BFA in Acting for Film in Los Angeles at NYFA, graduating with honors in January, 2016.With a short film based on his thesis, written, produced and performed by Al, his career launched back to Brazil.
