Aïda Ballmann is an actress from the Canary Islands, Spain, with German origins. She gained her language abilities, fluent Spanish, German and English, during her international and multidisciplinary education in the field of performance, circus and acting. As the daughter of the renown painter Kitabo, Aïda Ballmann and her three sisters grew up surrounded by nature on the colorful and magical island El Hierro, one of the eight Canary Islands. This enchanting environment, the music, reading, writing, clowns, the circus and above all, her imagination, filled the first years of her life. She studied acting in Gijón, Seville, Madrid, Barcelona and Germany, specially Stanislavski and Meisner techniques, and developed her physical expression, the ability to learn any discipline, her love for the detail and exhaustive observation. With her joyful spirit, Aïda lives her profession with passion and professionalism, in her tireless search for the truth in her performance. After working as a stunt woman and theatre actress, she debuted with the leading role of the movie, shot in English, "The extraordinary tale", from L. Alvea and J.F. Ortuño. She has been awarded best actress for her work in this film at Cardiff International Film Festival and Film Bizarro Movie Awards and nominated best actress in the Andalucian Cinema Awards (ASECAN). Furthermore, she received excellent critics in magazines like The Hollywood Reporter. She participated in Spanish popular tv series like "Lo que escondían sus ojos", "El tiempo entre costuras", "Águila roja" and "Brigada de fenómenos" and leads Spanish and International movies such as "La velocidad de nuestros pensamientos" from Nacho Chueca, "Die Insel" from Lars Ostmann and "El gigante y la sirena" from Roberto Chinet and was part of the cast of "Atlánticas", from Guillermo García López and of "Los europeos" from Víctor García León.
